2:00 a.m.
Cuddy tosses and turns in her bed. She looks at the clock on her night stand : 2:00 a.m. She hasn’t slept a wink and doesn’t know why so she gets up and tries to do something to keep her mind occupied. After a while walking around her house trying to find something to do, she finds her house is very boring. There is only one place that she can clear her mind and think, and once she clears her mind and thinks she can sleep: the hospital. She arrives at PPTH, in her PJ’s, and gets out to see all the lights in the hospital off and it looks so empty. She takes out her keys to the hospital and unlocks her room and sets all her stuff for the rest of the night…morning, down and walks to the seconde floor to House’s office, expecting him not to be there. “House?! What the hell are toi doing here?” She asks walking into his office. He was sitting in his computer chair just staring out the window when she came in. “What the hell are toi doing here?” He asked, his chin in the palm of his hand. After no reply he spun around in his chair to face her. “I’m here to think…in quiet. Again, what are toi doing here?” He a dit as she walked over to his bureau and sat in the chair in front of him. “I couldn’t sleep at home. Here I can clear my mind and think, once I clear my mind and think I can sleep.” She a dit putting her elbows on the bureau and putting her chin in her palms. A moment passed full of complete silence and intense staring. “What are toi thinking about?” She asked breaking the silence. “Nothing particular.” He a dit looking away and out the window. “Your’e a crappy lier.” She smirked. “So are you.” He smirked back. She smiled and started fidgeting with her hands. House gently put his hand ontop of her’s so she would stop. “They will go away if toi don’t stop.” He whispered refering to the two doves that were perched outside of House’s window looking in on House and Cuddy. He went to déplacer his hands but she held on tight and caressed his hand, looking at it. He leaned closer to the bureau and she looked up at him. “You’re cold.” She whispered sadly. House held her hand as well and let her caress his. “So are you.” He whispered back. “You’re damaged.” “So are you.” They whispered to eachother. “You’re miserable.” She a dit silently. “So are you.” He replied bringing her hand up and straightening her fingers out as did he so their hands were pressed together. They both looked at their hands pressed together, examining them. He spread his fingers as did she and their hands became entwined. Cuddy brought his hand to her face and layed her cheek against his hand. “You really think I looked good?” She asked quietly, closing her eyes, loving his touch, and referring to the jour when he told her she looked good in his own way. “I think toi look b-“ He started but hesitated on the last word for fear it might be the wrong word. “Say it…please.” She begged in a whisper. “I think toi look beautiful everyday, anytime, anywhere.” He whispered surprised at the strength in his voice. She opened her eyes and released his hand. “Thankyou.” She a dit standing. “Walk me to my room?” She asked sweetly. House was confused par her actions but tried to go along anyways. He nodded and stood and they walked down to Cuddy’s office. Cuddy grabbed her 2 blankets and oreiller and set them up on the couch. She laid down on the canapé and covered herself up while being watched par a confused House. “Stay with me. Watch me sleep. Lay with me. Please?” She a dit basically begging with her eyes, not that she needed to beg. He limped over to her and sat at the end of her feet and propped his feet up on the coffee table. She got up and turned herself so she was at House’s end now and layed her head across his lap and covered back up.She was facing the back of the canapé and cuddyled as close as she could to him. He stroked her head, moving the hair out of her face. Cuddy fell into a deep sleep. While she was sleeping House stroked her head and kissed it as well. “Cuddy? I l-”
“BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!” The sound of Cuddy’s alarm awoken her from her dream. She sat up and sighed. “Damn.” She whispered wanting the dream to go on. 'You can’t always get what toi want.' House’s voice in her head a dit to her. She closed her eyes and pictured his sweet face in her head. “If toi try sometimes toi get what toi need.” She a dit aloud in a determined voice.
