Can anyone recommend a movie that will scare the shit out of me and give me nightmares????(I'm just dying to watch one of those movies)

The ONLY films that really give me nightmares are the Saw movies!! I had to stop watching them after the third movie because it FREAKED me OUT!!!!!!!!

Evil Dead is Scary, also try The Exorist,and Drag Me To Hell.

How about Halloween (1978) ou the Exorcist ou the exorcism of Emily Rose ou A nightmare on elm rue ou Friday the 13th (first one) maybe but really i recommend any John Carpenter ou Wes Craven film if your looking for the older horror movie type of scares which are the ones i prefer Halloween is the film that scared me but it depends on the person like for instance after watching Halloween i really haven't seen anything that scares me of the new stuff and i have a friend that's horror tolerance is very low

I dont get scared to easily but the first time I saw An American Haunting it scared the hell outta me. It was scary but the movie was a little confusing and the story was a little slow moving because it is in colonial times. But global, ensemble the movie was scary and it was worth watching it.

Watch the movie "it" about the clown!! The freaking scariest!!! Aaaah, toi will be terrified of clowns nd baloons afterwards. Also maybe "The messengers" Its pretty scary. I waz scared to be in my own house after i watched that in my bedroom!

The scariest film I've seen recently is The Strangers. For best results watch it at night when you're par yourself.

No movie has ever scared "the shit out of me" and only Nightmare on Elm rue (the original) has donné me nightmares.

But here are some recommendable for a good scare and potential nightmares:

...Aaaand I haven't yet seen the GRAVEYARD SHIFT (1990) but it looks good enough for this and probably is, because it's based on a Stephen King story.

Well Any Saw movie would scare the shit outta me but to be honest Thats just me. The Exorcist is terrorfying but if toi want to really scare toi watch The Last House on the Left ou the Hills have eyes 1 ou 2 :)

The Fourth Kind. Didn't get nightmares, just couldn't sleep after I saw it.

Outbreak. It's not an actual horror movie. But, that was the only movie that made me sick, scared the shit outta me and I won't watch it to this day. Mostly because that shit could happen. No other horror movie has scared me that much so...Usually I'm rooting for the psychopath.

It really depends on what you're scared of.
What are toi afraid of? Clowns, Dolls, Serial Killers, Gore, Sharks, Ghosts, Zombies, etc.

It really depends on your taste. The Blair Whitch Project scared the little Jésus outta me!!!! But if you've already seen that, than a HUGE step up would be Cannible Holocaust. When I say that movie, I couldn't eat meat for 2 weeks....wich is a REALLY big deal for me cuz I'm from Texas!!!! Good Luck ;)

Well for a bloody and gory fun fest I have several to offer 1. would be "Demons & Demons 2" both Italian made and another Italian goody would be "Zombie" par Lucio Fulcis, then there's the original "Evil Dead" and last of all is a German made flick called "Premutos" jouer la comédie is fair but there is plenty of blood, guts, and tons of gore not many can watch it without getting sick of course i could go on forever but we don't have that much time so enjoy?

Give these a try. V/H/S and V/H/S 2 both are really creepy. ou Evil Dead (original ou remake), accueil Video, Megan Is Missing, and Martyrs all great horror movies.

THE SHINING par THE MASTER OF HORROR MR. STEPHEN KING

I don't know what scares you, but maybe Antichrist and Lords of Salem. Those films freaked me out. The Grudge is the only horror movie that gave me nightmares, but others might find it less scary.
The ghosts in Kairo were also freaky. The movie drags on, but the ghosts make it worth seeing.

The Shining

ALRIGHT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN HORROR films ARE THE ONLY films I WATCH SO HERE ARE MY haut, retour au début 5.

1. The Descent: This movie is about a group of very likable and interesting Friends who go exploring a cave system and get lost. While exploring, they come across some...strange things. This movie also has a sequel, and it's one of the few sequels that's every bit as good as the first.

2. Triangle: This is a movie that's plus likely to keep toi up at night than give toi nightmares. I can't say much about the plot, because that would spoil what is possibly the best part of the movie, but the most basic description is this: some Friends go out on a bateau and get shipwrecked. They happen to find an abandoned cruise. At least, they think it's abandoned, until a mysterious masked stranger starts killing them off one par one. And that's all I'm gonna say.

3. Annabelle: This movie is really controversial -everyone either loves it ou hates it. Personally, it's one of the only horror films I've seen that's caused me to cover my eyes. If creepy poupées are your thing, this movie's perfect. It's based on a real doll, too, if that sweetens the deal at all. (The Conjuring is pretty good, as well. If you're going to see one, I'd recommend watching both).

4. Splinter: This is perhaps one of my favori horror films of all time. It's also one of the most unappreciated. It's similar to a zombie movie, but in a very unconventional way. A super dorky couple get held up par a couple of convicts. who demand to be taken over the border. Their roadtrip is cut short when a dead animal covered in spines attacks them.

5. The Mist: This is my favori Stephen King movie. In case toi didn't already know, the movie is about a strange mist housing monstrous creatures that sweeps across the globe. It's a little cheesy (like most stephen king movies) but I personally really loved it.

World War Z, in the dark. Really, it depends on your psyche - serial killers don't bother me, but that one gave me nightmares for WEEKS (it didn't help that my best friend, who watched it with me, got the idea to make the zombie noises in the middle of the night as we were going to sleep). ou Insidious, ou Sinister- after those movies, I was canapé bound for a couple of nights.

I really recomended the conjuring 2 because its really good kinda scary. toi would believe me because nothing really scares me not even the saw series nor the moive unborn so i stictly recommended the conjuring 2

The new daughter: the amount of tension that's builds up when your in your room alone at night when everyone's sleeping. Just scares you

Hush: not as scary but worth it

The mist: was okay

Best part about all these films : they are all on Netflix
