After Sylar cuts open a person's head what does he do???

Does he breathe in their powers ou something???

After Sylar cuts open a head, he examines the brain looking for what controls the power ou where the power is based - as he sort of explained to Claire while her head was cut open. But this isn't necessary to absorb a power, he just likes to understand how things work.

Are toi serious? He has only taken the brain when he was in a rush and at risk of being caught. His power is to understand how things work. the easiest thing to say is that he opens their head to examine the brain of which his orignal power allows him to understand when the power comes from. he learns what he can from the brain before 'absorbing' the power.
