TALK TO THE WANDSELLER
The witch ou wizard who will sell toi your wand knows about all thewands in the shop. They will be plus than happy to share their knowledge and help toi find the right wand. Don't be a fraid to ask questions, either.

HOLD DIFFERENT WANDS
Holding different wands will help guide toi to the best match. Let's say toi try an oak wand with a phoenix feather core. The wand might feel close, but not quite right. In that case, toi should try a phoenix feather wand of a different wood and an oak wand with a different core.

TRY IT OUT
You'll be casting spells with your wand of course. So, it naturlly follows that toi should wave the wand around a bit. It might look silly to a Muggle-born, but it'll help toi find the right match.

LOOK OVER THE WAND
If you're sure it's the right wand for you, look it over. Learn its details. Figure out the best way tohold it.
