OK, there are millions of people who write thest kind of articles, but please try and control your patience, and read this.

The Love
Harry Potter has love. Not lust.
Hermione didn't stare and Ron and say "OMG he is soooo hot, I am in love" no, Hermione and Ron started of as hating each other. Halfway through their first an they became friends. In HBP and DH they both started getting feelings for each other. They l’amour each other for who they are. That is real love. Twilight on the other hand has no real love. Bella and Edward fall in l’amour with each other, they kiss, Bella gets pregnant. ALL THIS IS BECAUSE EDWARD IS HOT! That is not love.

The Anti-Femist
In Harry Potter girls have lifes. They don't depend on their hot boyfriends to live. Take Ginny. When Harry left her in DH she didn't go into depressed zombie mode for four months unlike some people I could mention *cough Bella cygne cough*

But now we are on Twilight, let me explain. Bella is happy enough to do her father's house-work and she ALWAYS needs to have a hot boy with her. And how about the fact female vampires cannot have kids, but male vampires can if they mate with a human. That is toatally sexist!

Now the authours.

Jo has written ten livres for her fans, she could of stopped after DH but she wanted to continue with BTB and FBAWTFT and QTTA.
SMeyer of the other hand stopped écriture Midnight Sun when it got leaked on to the internet. Wow doesn't she care about her fans!

Also Harry Potter is aimed to everyone boy ou girl any age. (As for the "Christians hate Harry Potter" that is just stupid. I am Christian and I am the biggest Harry Potter fan I know) There are HP clothes, robes and a theme park! (Beat that Edward Cullen)

Twilight is mostly aimed at girls 11-17 and maybe a few boys, who don't have a clue about good reading. Also most people get bored of Twilight after a while. It took me a week.

Well that's it for my little rant. Sorry if anybody is offended. This is my opioin.

youknowit101 There's real love in Twilight. Bella was the only dependant female in Twilight. It's not fair to compare one dependant Twilight character to every felmale HP character. It's not sexist that only male vampires can make babies, it's biology. Even human women can't have babies whenever they want. it has to be a certain time of the month. A man can produce sperm whenever because men don't work on cycles. if it's sexist in Twilight, then your Almighty Creator is sexist too. Don't assume that all people who like Twilight know nothing about literature. Twilight is too mature for 11 year olds. I don't think Smeyer mentioned a specific age demographic

RavenclawRocks Youknowit101, the other day I came across this really stupid article on how "evil" Harry Potter is for for Christians. I put that line in to show oothers how untrue that is. Good for you if you don't believe it. About Bella being the only dependable female in Twilight, one of these girls that AREN'T the main charecter is fine (eg Lavender Brown) but because Bella is the main charecter, this makes the story extreamly boring. About male vamps becoming Dads when female vamps can't become Mums...what about if Alice wanted to become a Mum? That would be extreamly unfair to her.

What do toi see in Harry Potter?

Okay guys, I know everyone's got their own opinion and not everyone has the RIGHT opinion, but as a Twilight fan, can one of toi Potter fans explain what toi guys see in Harry Potter? Honestly, I haven't read all the books, but I've seen all the films and they just don't make any sense. And another thing, the plot is bland and there's no real depth to it, like in Twilight. Harry Potter, also has no l’amour in it, which makes for a boring story. Anyways, I just wanted to know what toi crazies see in those livres and stuff...

Why I hate Twilight.

Before toi all come out with pitchforks and guns, I'd just like to say this is my opinion.

1, Half of the fans only like Twilight, because they think Rob/Taylor is hot.

2, I can't argue about the plot because there isn't one.

3, Bella has no personaility.

4, Edward is just plain creepy.

5, Bella always needs a man in her life. When Edward leaves she needs Jacob. This is really stupid.

6,Bella wouldn't even look at Edward if he wasn't hot.

7, Edward wouldn't look at Bella if she didn't smell good.

8, It gives a bad message. Like kill yourself when your sparkly boyfriend is around. ou there is no point in being happy unless toi have a boyfriend. ou it's ok to ditch your Friends to rendez-vous amoureux, date a super hot vampire.

9,Meyer constantly repeats the same words to tell us how hot Edward is. This gets boring after two pages.

10, The actors suck.

I’ve seen articles, like bri-marie’s, comparing Bella, Twilight’s “heroine” to the girls and female role mannequins of the Harry Potter livres like Hermione and Ginny. I agree with them whole-heartedly and I am happy to follow in the footsteps of strong women from Harry Potter – like Ginny, who is fierce and pretty bad-ass and just global, ensemble a strong female, and Hermione, who is studious and smart and witty and the boys often rely on her skills and “genius.” Because let’s face it – and Ron says it himself – where would they be without Hermione?

If toi think Emma Watson is stupid for quoting this, toi are outta your mind. toi think Twilight's not selling sex? Irony. Irony how some twi-hards reason out "BECAUSE EDWARD CULLEN IS SO SEXY!!!" if asked why Twilight is better than Harry Potter.

For me, Twilight is just populaire 'cause it has sex appeal. Wait for several years, no one will be talking about Twilight anymore.. Harry Potter won't be talked about that much but it will never be forgotten.In my case, I know Harry Potter will be a future classic.

Obviously, this spot is about debating Harry Potter and Twilight, and I realised I've never written an article, so I decided to put down all my reasons for Harry Potter being better than Twilight.

Firstly, the 'love' in Twilight is not love. It is over powered lust. To my memory, Edwrad and Bella never have a conversation about from who loves the other more. Edward likes Bella because she smells good, Bella likes Edward because he's 'handsome' (which can't even be proven, he's a book character, we never see him).

I have read a lot of articles etc like this, but I thought I would write m own vues down.

One thing I have heard about Twilight being better is that SMeyer is a better writer. I ask you, how on earth is SMeyer a better writer.

Take this sentence from New Moon:

'Suddenly, it(the bike) looked intimidating, frightening, as I realised I would soon be astride it.'

How does that flow as a sentence? It has two separate realisations together in one sentence. I found it awkward to read.

So I surfing the web when I ran into one of the pages from this site. It was a question asking which would toi rather be, a vampire ou a wizard? I immediately answered wizard and I added 3 quick reasons why. That was several months il y a and now I wondered if my answer was reasonable enough. First of all I need to say I l’amour THEM BOTH so much!! I think HP was extremely original I grew up with it and I looove it.. and Twilight is so romantic, I mean, could they be plus crazy about each other?? (NOPE!!), and I looove it too!! (L) =]

People are passionate about defending their livres that they love. I know that and I’ve done it. What’s really disturbing is when the users of fanpop use this site to bring people down ou just to openly hate.

Harry Potter and Twilight are going to be compared. No other two livres have the same rabid following and they both have strong roots in the supernatural.
