So I keep trying to improve my English writing, and since we have to wait until January 5th I might as well make some story’s about CB (my favourite obsession). Well it’s a short one-shot and I think I made a lot of grammatical mistakes, but okay, just read over them :P
It’s a shot after the last scene of 2x13 like many others. :)
Ugh. I really don’t know how to make an introduction, just read it XD

The best thing about Blair;

Blair’s fingers were tracing the path his pen had laid out for her, over and over again. The few tears that she had let escape from her eyes had dried ages – so it felt – ago, along with her self pity. All the sadness she felt was for him who needed it.
“Chuck,” she whispered into the dark, hoping there was someway he could still hear the l’amour in her voice. The l’amour he was afraid to return. That same l’amour that he had felt for his father. That l’amour that had cost him so much pain. Pain he didn’t know how to share.
A sigh left her parted lips and finally, after hours of staring at his letter, the will of moving from the position she was in filled her body. Her movements were quick, unknown adrenaline flowed trough her veins and before she realised it she was already standing par her bathroom door.
It was time for a shower.

“B?” Blair didn’t have to look; she knew it was her best friend standing behind her. Ever since Chuck was found par his ‘new’ uncle Serena had been hovering around her, scared for a breakdown Blair guessed. “Are toi coming?”
“What?” mumbled Blair, not really interested in the words coming out of her best friend’s mouth.
“Are toi coming?” Serena repeated patiently.
“To where?” Blair turned towards Serena, looking at her blankly.
“I thought toi were planning to visit Chuck every day?”
“O, he isn’t in your accueil today,” Blair smiled weakly. “He was way to sober yesterday. He’s probably drinking in his beloved club.” Although it hurt her picturing Chuck surrounded par a dozen of whores, she knew it was the right thing to do. She wasn’t going to make some stupid fairy tale just to protect her own feelings. Not if Chuck kept suffering plus and more.
Serena, not doubting this information was true, stared down at the brunette and wondered if she should let her be ou hug her tightly. It was a choice she didn’t have to make.
“S, I’m fine. And I have to make some phone calls… So I let toi know when I need you, okay?” Forcing herself to think of her Friends feelings she stood up and hugged the tall girl. “You probably have something better to do anyway.”
“No B—”
“I’m fine,” urged Blair, letting Serena go. “Just go and I’ll speak toi later.” She pressed her hands against Serena’s shoulders and pushed her towards the door. “Bye.”
Serena left then and without waiting for another interruption Blair picked her phone from her night table, tableau and dialled a number. The number. His number.
It took her several times, eighteen to be precisely, to make him pick up his phone, but it was the fact that he finally picked up his phone that counted.
“Blair,” he whispered huskily. A giggle made her realise that it was another girl her body that was making his voice sound like that. “I told toi to stay away. Haven’t toi understood me?”
She swallowed and sighed once before she opened her mouth. “I have understood you.”
“Then why are toi calling?” he sighed, urging her to keep it short.
“Thought toi should know what the difference between understanding and agreeing, Bass.” There was no way she could make these words sound caring. He sure as hell had understood her position a an ago, and still he hadn’t her and Nate happen again. Sure, now she was thankful for that, but he was going to be thankful too, one day.
“O please, talking about the old days are we?” Irritation drained his voice, and so she kept still, waiting till she could seed the realisation in his head.
It took a couple of minutes before he reopened his mouth. But eventually words were crossing the line again. “Are toi interested in what I was, no wait, am doing?” He wanted to hurt her, to push her away like he did with everyone else. But she wouldn't let him, not this time.
“I know exactly what you’re doing.” She let the image fill her head, making her inner burn in pain. “That’s why I’m calling. Why I’m not giving toi up.” This was what she was waiting for, the opportunity to make him realise what he already knew. “Because I know you’ll never change. Not completely. And I’m still caring about you. That’s the best thing about me.”
And so it was seeded. And although she knew it was going to take awhile till he would give in, she also was completely sure he was going to be with her again.
