Should there be plus gay cartoon/animated characters? I think so but some of my Friends say otherwise... What do toi think? :)

Yes, and if they do, the characters have to be something else besides the stereotype. Both gay and lesbian characters have to be shown as normal people in all ways but preference, and that this is ok.

That may be pretty effective on the younger people's opinion of the homosexual community... because 12-15 are watching a lot of dessins animés these days. :/

The answer is obvious. Definately. The reason that there is not.....to much hate and contreversy over the matter. If I had my way I would make plus gay programming. Isnt this supposed to be the land of the free? and isnt equality our strive? I mean animé dubbers wont even dub yaoi animé because there is homosexuality in them! My opinoin is that homo l’amour is sometimes plus pure then a man-womamn love! I mean toi hear of men and woman breaking up and divorcing all the time, but do toi ever hear that of homosexuals? NO. Why? because of the fact that they are teased and had to face the fear of being harrassed to announce that they l’amour the one of their choice. That is true love. and YES there should be plus of this on the television!

People try to avoid the whole gay thing with kids because they think it's too sexual, but that really doesn't make any sense if toi think about it. I think there's already a few gay characters in cartoons, but it's only implied. For example, I have the STRONG suspicion that Spongebob is gay...
But really, learning to accept something ou not starts young, and if kids learn early that homosexuality is okay, then tomorrow will be a safer place for LGBTs.

Yes, There Should Be plus Gay *American* Cartoons, But Since Americans Aren't Very Sensitive With Thier Programing, I Don't Think It'll Happen T.T But I Do Feel That Children Should Be Exposed To These Kind Of Things ^^

1.They Will Have To Have Main Characters That Are Truely In l’amour *And Not Just Out For Sex* To montrer That l’amour Is Love

2.If They Are Just OUt For Sex, They Need To montrer That It's Wrong AND That Hetero Dose It Sometimes Too!

3.They MUST Portrait The Gay Characters As Normal Humans, But Still montrer That There Will Be People To Make Fun Of Them And montrer That It's Wrong To Make Fun!

I have spotted a handful of characters who may have been designed to be homosexual but I'm not 100% if they are ou not.

I couldn't agree plus with toi on that one!There is just NOT ENOUGH gay dessins animés ou animation at all which I find rather surprising myself!I have tried to find any Destiel ou Merthur ou Brolin gay dessins animés yet UNSUCCESFULLY!There should be plus of those!!

If that's what makers of dessins animés and animations want then they can do that.
