Chapter 13: Sammy's POV
We stood there, watching little Sophie, wagging her tail. All eyes were focused on her. She was sittin in the middle of rune and shine. "it is," she said, "I can tell toi who lives in every room and what happened. How they tell people their there," she yawned, then cocked her head to one side. "okay, so can toi tell us how to get our friend back?" skipper asked. "sure. All eight of them. As long as she hasn't gotten to them yet." a few of us looked around the room, petrified. "who- who's she?" I dared to ask. All attention came to me, "and if I recall there's only seven of us missing, emmie, Luke, Connor, willow, melody, melany, and kowalski. Who else?" I tarted to sound like I was testifying. "oh, toi mustn't have noticed the mechanical android. He was very nice. I last saw him looked at the hanging arbre outside. That's where she likes to collect victims." we looked pretty confused, so Sophie started explaining, "she was hung, back in the witch trials, for bein a witch's cat. But she wasn't even owned. No one believed her, and it left her small daughter to die, ou be killed. He won't rest until she's killed all who can see the noose on the tree." everyone seemed to be getting it par now, still Sophie continued, "her daughter stayed in one spot, waiting for her mother to return. But the mother never did. Soon enough, she died where she stayed, right on the other side of this very house. They gave her a grave stone and buried her out in the field, where she haunts this house. She will ony rest when she's found a good friend that isn't scared of this house." everyone was nodding, except CC and amber. "now hold on!" amber cried, "I'm a history buff, And the witch trials were NOT in Nebraska," she said, "yeah, they were in Boston!" CC finished for her. "there were with trials everywhere, Boston was just famous for the whole story," the little kitten's tail swayed. "wait, again," skipper called out, "you never told us who this she was!" he sounded a bit skeptical. "she..." Sophie a dit grimly, "she....... Is my own mother."
