I've been a member of fanpop for a little under a an and have been enjoying the site immensely. I glanced at my spots, er, clubs, and saw one outlined in green. What the heck? Then I saw the dot. Oh my! Could it be? Sure enough, below "my spots" was the icon: Dedicated Fan.

I am shocked and oh so excited. I've created a few spots, and added quite a bit to several, but these spots aren't that popular. That fact is fine par me, but I doubted I'd ever get to be a Dedicated fan (a secret desire of all Fanpoppers, I'm sure). Although I check the site daily, I don't have time to add much content (I haven't even figured out how to mettre en ligne plus that one picture at a time), and when I do, it's usually to a spot that doesn't get a lot of action. I'm so pleased that enough people have discovered, and hopefully enjoyed, the content I have provided.

Thank toi all for allowing me to become a Dedicated Fan...next stop-Die-Hard Fan!
I am here to talk about the "report" button. It seems not many of us know of this button when it comes to videos, liens etc and would rather just say "it doesn't work *cry*", so here is a step par step of what to do.

1. If the video toi are trying to watch is not working and does not say "video broken ou no longer here" click on the title. This will bring toi to the page where the video first came from.

2. If the video definately does not work click the little flag.

3. Once you've clicked it there will be an assortment of options to choose from. Choose wisely though and appropriately....

I want to start par saying that I think it is absolutely brilliant. I visit several times a jour and there is always something new to see. In my eyes that is the beauty of it right?

I l’amour that although its is a somewhat controlled environment (which is a good thing) we are pretty much able to voice our opinion on what we like and what we don't like.

I joined fanpop because I l’amour to share videos, photos, articles and pretty much anything else that has to do with a common interest. I will confess that I am a major fan of the office. I l’amour to share any bit of office news with people who will appreciate...

We are the fanpoppers,
we l’amour to veiw and vote.
We worship everybody,
even the bloody pope.

So we stand without a movement,
To worship everyone.
Especially our leader,
Who is number 1.

His name is Knifewrench ou Chel,
i'm not really sure.
But i'd say that it's Knifey,
Because he is so pure.

I l’amour this website,
Better than the rest.
But if someone says different,
coup de poing him in the chest.

If you're not in this song,
Then ha ha to you.
But that is not a bad thing,
It means i don't know you.

This is not the best song,
But it will have to do.
If toi know another,
Please tell me do.

Okay this soapbox sadly, is going to point fingers so people can learn from this. I don't like having to point fingers but it seems no one gets the message across if it isn't done.

What is bulk posting? It's when toi post multiple things all at the same time. So when toi do that the mots-clés toi give are going to be the same for every single thing toi post.

Why do people bulk post? Well the excuse used can be "I want to share great content with others" but really it turns plus into a quantity over quality.

Why is this harming keywords? When people bulk post they only put a general amount of keywords...

Hello Fanpoppers. par now toi may have noticed a nifty new feature was rolled out this afternoon. It's the fanpop Pop Quiz, a way to test your knowledge of all sorts of arcane trivia from movies, to musique to hamsters.

Before diving into the details of the game, I want to send out a hearty THANKS to the fanpop team. In particular, a big hommage to link who put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this feature.

I'd also like to thank all the great beta testers who helped us test and refine the feature for the past month. Finally, a thank toi to link - the site that provided the nifty default icone sets...

 Yes, yes it is.
Yes, yes it is.
As some of toi may know, I often suffer from grammar-induced rage blackouts. These can be triggered par anything from a misplaced apostrophe to the incorrect usage of "your" and "you're". So, I decided to do something about it.. mostly because I'm afraid the suivant dangling modifier I come across might send me spiraling into a violent rampage the likes of which have never been seen.

I understand that a lot of Fanpoppers are not native English speakers, and thus might not have as good a hold on our sometimes ridiculously complicated grammatical rules. Obviously, I can't fault them for their mistakes....

Right, I have been thinking about this. I have been thinking about certain things on fanpop recently and as much as I l’amour this place there are certain things that irk me.

Hate Spots
I've seen spots that are about hating a certain thing. I thought this place was plus about sharing things we enjoy so we can give each other images, links, videos, etc not "oh I hate this and this and this". It doesn't make anything friendly.

Me Me Me Spots
I mean no offence to anyone that has these kinds of spots and has created them but fanpop isn't MySpace ou any of those other social networks. It's a different...

Okay everybody on fanpop is a fan of something, toi have to be, But what is a true fan? Well, I'll tell you.
According to Webster's Dictionary, a fan is
A:
Function:    noun
Etymology:    probably short for fanatic
1 : an enthusiastic devotee (as of a sport ou a performing art) usually as a spectator
2 : an ardent admirer ou enthusiast (as of a celebrity ou a pursuit) <science-fiction fans>

This is a great definition of a fan of a baseball team ou a specific person, such as the Yankees ou Brad Pitt. But is that really what the fans on fanpop are? No....

I'm not afraid of you, Ghost!
I'm not afraid of you, Ghost!
So I was hanging out on my computer this evening, watching some vidéos and browsing on Fanpop, when I noticed something that disturbed me. In not one, but two different spots. I discovered several examples of what I believe to be "Ghost Accounts".

"Ghost Accounts" are what I'm calling additional accounts created par an already existing fanpop member to skew the results of a pick ou an argument in their favor. I have read things posté par other Fanpoppers suggesting their existence in the past, but hadn't knowingly spotted any for myself. Tonight I believe I spotted three different people doing...
