5 am
Dean entered the cuisine and saw Meg sitting at the table, with a cup of coffee.
“You’re up early” he mumbled. Meg looked up. “I get it” Dean added. “You never went to sleep”
Meg shook her head.
“Yeah, me neither” Dean replied soft. “So, eh, what are toi going to do now?”
Meg shrugged and stirred her coffee.
“You know what I a dit when Cas told me he loved me? I told him to shut up. I never a dit it back” she a dit sober.
“I’m sure he knew that” Dean a dit careful.
“It doesn’t matter” Meg replied sharp. “He’s gone. There’s no need for me to be human anymore”
Dean frowned. “What are toi talking about? Are toi saying you’re going to try and be a demon again?”
“Why not? I Lost my baby and the only man who’s ever loved me no matter what” Meg defended herself passionately. “At least when I’m a demon I don’t have to feel that”
“You’re just going back to your old life, erasing every good thing Cas used to see in you?” Dean asked disgusted.
“Cas is gone and he’s not coming back!” Meg exclaimed, throwing her cup of cold coffee on the floor. She gasped, startled par her own emotion, and bent through her knees to collect the fragments.
Dean kneeled suivant to her.
“I’m sorry for what I did” he said. “For causing toi a miscarriage and for being a dick. I just couldn’t get myself around the fact that you’re practically…one of us now. I think I didn’t want to. It was just easier to see toi as a demon” he paused a second. “Cas isn’t dead. Jimmy a dit he was still in there. We just have to get him out. toi can’t give up on him”
He took her hand and pulled her up.
“Let’s get him back” he suggested.

Since there was no way any of them was going to get any sleep, they packed their bags and loaded the Impala. Dean placed himself behind the wheel, Sam sat suivant to him and Meg on the backseat.
“First stop: Pontiac, Illinois” Dean said, as he started the engines and drove ahead. As they drove Dean turned on the radio to break the silence.
Meg stared out of the window. She felt utterly powerless. Had she still been a demon she would’ve just zapped herself to him. But then maybe she wouldn’t have felt this way and she wouldn’t even bother to go find him.
Maybe this was a sign. Maybe she was supposed to let go and go back to her old life.
No!, she reproached herself. You’re not going back to killing for fun. toi didn’t get this far to throw it all away. You’re going to find Cas and get him back.
“Everything okay, there?” Dean asked.
“Yeah, I’m good” Meg replied with a mischievous smile.

Meg looked around the police station. So that was why no one was answering her calls for help. They were all dead. There were bodies everywhere and their insides were torn out. The floor was covered in blood.
“Meg”
Meg looked up. Daphne had entered the building. She stared shocked at the bodies.
“You killed all those people” she a dit trembling. It wasn’t a question, but an observation. “You’re going to hurt plus people. I can’t let toi do that”
“You can’t handle me. I’m too strong for your” Meg said. She walked towards Daphne and passed her. If she was going to try something Meg could easily take her down.
However, as she passed by, Daphne jumped vers l'avant, vers l’avant and stabbed Meg in her neck with a syringe, containing a red substance.
“Aaaahhh!” Meg gasped and she touched her neck. “What the hell are toi doing?”
But Daphne had left the building and ran for her life.
