The memory haunted me as I was parking to go to a party with my good friend.

"You're sure toi wanna come?" Bridgette asked her as I got out of my car and started approaching the hotel.

"Yeah, so, Duncan's gonna be here. It doesn't matter, we are mature adults. It's not like he's gonna like...try to make us get back together ou something." I said.

"Are toi gonna sing?"

"No...but I am gonna dance and get crazy. I mean, this is one of Geoff's parties."

We laughed and walked into the large hotel and straight to the ballroom where the party was being held.

It was crowded as hell in there. I saw Duncan and he was flirting with some girl, and it made me the most pissed off girl in the room when he looked straight at me, then kissed the other chick.

White fingers snapped in front of my eyes and I met Bridgette's eyes as she said, "Earth to Courtney! What did toi just say?"

"Ugh!" I groaned and walked away.

I walked out of the party and out into the hall. I pressed my back against a mur and fell down and put my head between my knees.

"You okay?" I heard the infamous voice ask me.

Duncan's POV:

After I walked away from Courtney that girl I kissed earlier showed up...what was her name...oh, her name's Karolina ou Kristina ou something of that nature...

"Duncan! Come on, let's go dance ou something!" She was obviously wasted plus than a lotta people here.

"Hey....you! I'm sorry, but I gotta go!" I held up my police badge, "duty calls."

Now, I know what you're thinking! I was a total delinquent, and now I'm like my folks. A police officer. Long story short, I wanted to be with Courtney without jaily interruptions. And my parents had a good relationship with some police people, so I could stay with her.

Look where we are now...

"Hehe, I always loved a man in uniform," She purred as she put her hands on my chest.

"Woah there, chickie, haha...gotta go!" I a dit as I speed walked off into the hall to think.

I saw Courtney sitting there with her head down and I asked, "You okay?"

She raised her head for a moment, grimaced, then put her head back down, "What the hell do toi want, Duncan?" She spat the words as if they were a wretched curse at me.

"I wonder why!" She stood up quickly and started down the hall further but I stopped her par putting my hand on her shoulder.

She sucked in a fast breathe, and I was almost sure that she smiled at the touch, but when she turned her face was just as grim as before, "Duncan, don't touch me! Don't talk me! Don't do anything with me!"

Now that made me even plus wanting to annoy the heck out of her. And yet it made me even plus scared of her, not that I'd ever give her that pride.

"Princess," I a dit the name so sincerely and sweetly that it was hard not to give me a chance. A trait of mine that I can't say I hated.

"Don't toi dare 'princess' me! I'm no longer your princess. toi ruined that when toi kissed that damn girl!"

"This isn't worth the fight, we had that fight months ago. Now is the time when I make a failed attempt to tell toi that I l’amour toi and I don't wanna hurt you, but toi don't believe me. Then I make another failed attempt to prove it, but toi still don't. Then I have to Kiss toi to montrer toi that I really care.

"And when toi still don't believe me, ou at least toi act like toi don't, toi tell me to screw off and then toi walk away. But ten minutes later you'll come back and Kiss me.

"And what tops it all off is that, Courtney, I love it when toi do that. Any other guy would hate it! But me, no, Courtney. I l’amour toi so much that I deal with it, and I l’amour it. God, how I l’amour to mess with you!

"Courtney, damn it, I l’amour you! I always freaking will and there is nothing toi can do to stop it."

Courtney stood there, speechless, and she sighed, "You're wrong on one thing. This time, I'm not coming back to Kiss you. I'm not coming back at all," She turned around from me and walked back into the party.

I mumbled back to myself, "Yeah, and toi a dit that last time."

I walked into the lobby of the hotel and sat down in the waiting area that overlooked Niagara Falls. I even have to admit that it was beautiful.

It reminded me of back at TDWT, where it all broke down.

I meant it, I loved Courtney. All the other girls were just there to edge off the curve of it. toi know how when you're hungry, and toi eat something small to curve the edge of your hunger? That's what other girls were for me.

I know it's rude, but Courtney....Courtney...,"Duncan," Courtney's voice said.

I thought she was in my head for a second, but then I looked up and she was standing there, looking all beautiful.

When I a dit nothing she said, "You were right."

"About?" I asked.

"Everything."

"Well? Where's my kiss, Princess?"

She rolled her eyes, and before she kissed me she said, "You Kiss one plus girl, and I will kill toi in the sickest ways possible."

I smirked, "I embrace that, Courtney."
