Critical Analysis of Twilight Question

What turned toi against Twilight? (Or if you're still a Twilight fan, what do toi dislike about anything Twilight-related?)

Surprisingly, I was a Twilight fan at first. I really liked it, it was something new in my life, and I needed something new. I was NEVER a Twihard, I cannot stand fans like that for any movie/show/book/etc. I was just greatly interested in it, and it was enjoyable talking to fellow fans about it. At first...I'm not sure what happened. I think I needed something different in my life so desperately, and Meyer's écriture style was unique to what I had read before. NOT UNIQUE AS IN SHE IS A GOOD WRITER. I know she is a terrible author, being somewhat of an auteur myself. Her écriture was unique to what I had been écriture before I came across Twilight, and it intrigued me. And at first I really liked it, thought it was good.

But I know now it was because she wrote differently, I was a little delusional and riding on the high that had come in the beginning, after the movie had come out. If it had stayed that way, I may be an average fan. Without all of the bs. But then what really killed it, and still infuriates me, are the fans that this series has spawned. THOSE fans. The astoundingly immature people who live with their heads in the clouds hoping one jour that they could meet a "great" undead guy like Edward. The ones who think they like vampires because they like Twilight. Because of the "sparkly" vampires. *Snort* Then, with all of these incredibly stupid people around, who in a way were my kin (*Shudder*), I wondered. I came upon this site, and everything a dit fascinated me. I liked it WAY better than being a supposed Twilight fan. So I decided to follow my heart. And my freaking brain. I am so ashamed that I was caught up in that mess, for even a moment...I finally realized...it's really not all that great. At all.

So yes. I have come back to my senses. I am sorry if I offended any Twilight fans; I think it's not a worthwhile series to be interested in but if toi like it I respect that. :) toi know full well what kind of Twilight fan I'm talking about. I know toi

What happened to toi is pretty much what happed to me, although it was the movie that made me stop being a fan at all (and BD now that I think of it)

Critical Analysis of Twilight Réponses

I understand what you're trying to relate, LadyLilith. I thought I should share this. :) A an ago, I noticed that many of my school mates were bringing the Twilight Series to school.I wasn't exactly intrigued with it at first. I thought it was just some l’amour triangle story, with a vampire and a werewolf dumped into it. I finally caught up with Twilight when my best friend lent me the series. I was bored to death during the hols and decided to give Twilight a try. After I read the first book, I kept craving for more. I thought it was really, really good. Hence, I became a Twilight Addict.I bought the books, watched the movie, bought the soundtrack, etc. I was rather devoted to the series.I could read it almost every day. But the plus I read it, the plus flaws I see in the story. I wouldn't want to be like Bella, who to me now seems very dependent on Edward, indecisive in making choices and (in a way) uses people to get her way. Another issue now I ponder upon is how did Bella fell in l’amour with Edward? The plus I read it, the plus it seems to me that Bella first fell for Edward because of his looks and their l’amour is plus of the 'eros love'. I think I wouldn't want that kind of relationship. :p There are a lot of issues that I have with the series. The Twilight Series livres aren't the only livres I've read. I noticed that Stephenie Meyer's écriture skills are of mediocrity after going through many books. I had a few issues with Twilight fans. Some may be partly my fault and some are just weird cases with weird Twifans. (Sorry if I offended anyone! I wasn't really in my senses back then. I'm back on earth now.) I've actually met fans who think that they are vampires, which obviously isn't true. The Twilight fanspot was another problem. I see almost the same picks posté everyday. Jacob ou Edward? Who is hotter? Blahblahblah. It was very repetitive. Heck. I got sick of it. :p And yes, the Twilight movie is HORRIBLE. I thought it was slightly bearable at first. Since I'm back to my consciousness, I admit- IT WAS BEYOND HORRENDOUS. I can't even watch it for the seconde time. If Twilight won an Oscar, I can poke my eyeballs out. XD

However, I still consider myself a Twilight fan despite of its flaws. I wouldn't say it was a fabulous series with an amazing storyline. I found a lot of flaws in the story. I think what made my liking for Twilight continue was actually Jacob Black. Initially, I was Team Edward. Then, I 'converted' to Team Switzerland.I'm slightly falling off the fence into Team Jacob. If Jacob wasn't a werewolf, I think I would like him even more. X) I guess I could say that I kind of pity him throughout the series, especially during Breaking Dawn. Imprinting sounds rather ridiculous and I detested the way the series ended. No doubt, I still believe I'm a Twilight fan but just less into it now. I'm actually excited for the New Moon movie. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hope it's better than the horrible Twilight movie)

No no no, that's excellent! This is exactly what I wanted, for people to share their experiences about Twilight with others. It sounds similar to my story with the series...I'm not sure how unbearble I was as a fan. I shudder to think of it. *Does a dit shudder* I really dont know where I stand with this series anymore. I think the only thing I like about it still is Jacob, as I had from the beginning. But he was the best character she could have ever hoped to conjure up with her kindergarten écriture skills. He was the most realistic. I LIKE Jacob. But then she put him through all this grief and then caught him up with the rest of the stupidness (the 'Nessie' thing. *Rolls eyes*). And Taylor Lautner, his actor, also kind of ruined it for me too. He's hot, and he seemed like a really honest and cool guy when he first appeared in the limelight. But...I dunno. But it just seems like Hollywood's ruined his personality already. He always seems to have that "duh whut?" air around him now. I just dont know...

well yea im a twilight fan i first came across twilight when my older sister told me she was lire and she a dit she liked it so i thought "why not". so i read it and i was sooo addicted to the series that i read and over read it like 1000 times and it bothered me how people would hate so much. i still dont see the problems that people see but now i realize how dependent bella was with edward and that bella olny fell in l’amour with him because of his looks. (and of course in most cases that is what first makes u interested with that person) but it should elvolve into plus than that but i dont think bella's relationship with edward ever did. i think thoughout the whole seiries she just kept talking about how hansome edward was, i dont think she ever talked about his personality ou ANYTHING!!! and i have never been in an actuall realationship (sadly :() but when i do i would want it to be plus than just me admireing my partner on his looks.

plus, the fact that the vampires SpArKlEd in the sun i mean yea thats uniqe but its also dum and TOO imaginable and it makes it soo easy for twilight haters to pick on it. (i really hated that part in the book)

last but not least the CrAzY twilight fangirls i mean go and watch buffy! and read dracula!! I mean twilight was a ok book but now days it is getting way too much attention.

Robert patterson HE ISSS SOOOO UGLLLY!!! he makes me wanna gaggggg!!! (i just needed to get that out)

lol
