She sat on her couch, fully clothed, with a suitcase sitting on the floor suivant to her. It was 9 a.m. and she was waiting for Booth to pick her up.
Why do we have to go on all these trips? Booth is always in a bad mood and Angela is always trying to get us in lit together. Not that I'd mind that. No, Brennan. There is a line, granted it's pretty questionable, but it's there. Don't traverser, croix it, ou think about crossing it. She continued arguing herself for a few minutes, but the doorbell rang so her thoughts were cut short.
She walked over to the door and opened it. She was greeted par Booth, turned around, looking up and down the hall. A smile slipped onto her face. She couldn't help it, sometimes just seeing ou hearing him seemed to make all the bad things going on disappear.
"Booth, what are toi doing?" she a dit teasingly.
He spun around and grinned.
"Nothing. Just looking at your neighbors. Are they good ones?"
"Umm, yeah. I mean, I'm normally at work when they come accueil ou leave, so I don't seem them all that much." she felt bad saying this for some reason. As if confirming her need for work meant she truly was cut off from other people.
He looked at her for a few secondes then, "So, ready to go? I know how much toi hate traveling, but there are some Bones for toi to look at." he grinned again. That smile could make her do almost anything.
"Oh, yeah. Let me just get my suitcase."
She left the door open as she put on her manteau and leaned down to pick up her suitcase. Before she could grab the handle, however, Booth was gently pushing her hand away to pick it up himself. Men. she thought.
"Booth, I can carry my own suitcase."
"Bones, I can be a gentleman sometimes. Just let me carry it, it's not like it's gonna kill you."
"Technically-"
"Figure of speech, Bones. Figure of speech."

They entered the airport, Booth carrying both suitcases, and walked towards the ticket booth.
"We have tickets reserved for Denver, Colorado. Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan." a dit Booth.
The woman behind the counter typed their names into the computer, and a printer started on their paperwork. She pulled the tickets from below the bureau and set down a receipt and pen in front of Booth. Brennan Grabbed the pen before Booth could, and signed, marking the trip as payed par her.
"You do know that I'm not broke, right Bones? I can pay for a plane ticket just fine." He had a slightly pouty facial expression, but that only made her laugh.
"Booth, toi have plus than one person to take care of. And besides, it's not like you've written a book that went straight to the haut, retour au début 20." she had a smirk on her face, she always won these fights.
"Here are your boarding passes and your receipt. Enjoy your flight." a dit the woman behind the counter, a look of knowing in her eyes.
They boarded the plane an heure later and sat suivant to each other in first class, Booth had asked for first class with Brennan this time. She immediately opened a book and began reading. Booth, however, sat down, got comfortable, and stared at Brennan while she read. About halfway through the plane ride, Booth fell asleep. In the exact position as he had started out in.
