Canadian-born pop singer Avril Lavigne and her husband, Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley, have purchased a Tuscan-style accueil in Bel-Air for the reported price of $9.5 million. The purchase of the Bel-Air accueil marks the seconde Tuscan-style accueil for Avril Lavigne, who already owns one such property in Beverly Hills.
While reports indicate that Avril Lavigne had intended to build her own dream home, the Canadian couple settled on a three-storey accueil in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood. Together, Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley, her husband of nine months, have purchased the $9.5 million estate, which the Los Angeles Times reports contains eight bedrooms and 10-1/2 bathrooms. Also included in the 12,000 square-foot luxury accueil is an elevator, a sauna and a garage that can hold 10 cars at a time.
Avril Lavigne burst onto the musique scene in 2002 with her debut album, "Let Go", and with the strength of singles like "Sk8er Boi", "Complicated" and "I'm With You", became the youngest singer to have a number one album in the UK, up until Joss Stone eclipsed that record in 2003.
