1.Otaku is the honorific word of Taku (home).

Otaku is extremely negative in meaning as it is used to refer to someone who stays at accueil all the time and doesn't have a life (no social life, no l’amour life, etc)

Usually an otaku person has nothing better to do with their life so they pass the time par watching anime, playing videogames, surfing the internet (otaku is also used to refer to a nerd/hacker/programmer).

In the Western culture, people confuse otaku to be something positive like "Guru". If toi think about it, it's not really good to be called a guru if it means toi are a total loser who can't socialize with other people except through the Internet.

Other Japanese words which have been confused par Westerners also include but not limited to: Anime, Manga, etc
otaku no jinsei ha yabai na! (it sucks to live the life of an otaku!)

2.An extremely negative Japanese term, referring to a shut-in ou someone with no social life. It also implies that the person's entire life is molded around fictional characters (usually animé and manga).
In America, the term has been embraced par animé fans, who (as they do with many Japanese words), use the word incorrectly as a positive term for fanboy/girl.
1. "God, that kid is such an otaku. He won't leave the basement unless it's to buy new Dragon Ball fansubs."
2. "I, like, so totally l’amour Sailor Moon! Serena rawks! I am, like, the ultimate Sailor Moon otaku!"

3.Otaku is a Japanese word for house.

As in toi never leave it.
Please don't call yourself an otaku, especially in front of real Japanese people, which toi most likely never meet.

Disclaimer: I do not own Soul Eater. I do own the plot.

Author's note: This chapter doesn't really involve any of the plot mentioned in the summary; however, it does introduce two important characters. Also, this serves as a "testing the water," before I get into the main work.

Chapter 1: Enter Jason Sev and Rachel Cross

"Name's Jason Sev, meister. toi have probably heard of me, haut, retour au début of the N.O.T. class at the Death Weapon Meister Academy. Prepare yourself for my awesomeness, Notre Dame the hunchback." Jason Sev was taller than the average person. He had blue eyes, brown hair and a confident look...

toi only have to follow 1 little step and that is......TO TELL THEM THAT animé IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD AND toi DONT CARE WHAT THEY THINK BECAUSE toi ARE toi AND THEY CANT TELL toi WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!

Also if they still think that animé is for nerds and geeks....you could force him ou her to watch an episode of your favori animé and then ask to see what they think. And they better watch it....cuz im watching.....

P.S. animé is just something that everybody should enjoy becaise let's face it, mostly all of the shows that are shown on t.v are anime. And the majority of the world falls head over heels in l’amour with it.

HOPE THAT HELPED!! ^.^
