"JANE EYRE" (1996) Review

According to the Wikipedia website, there have been sixteen film adaptations of charlotte Brontë's 1847 novel, "Jane Eyre". And there have been ten télévision adaptations of the novel. That is a hell of a lot of adaptations for one novel. A lot. And judging par the numbers, I have no immediate plan to see every movie ou télévision adaptation. But I have seen at least five ou six adaptations. And one of them is Franco Zeffirelli's 1996 movie adaptation.

Adapted par Zeffirelli and Hugh Whitemore, "JANE EYRE" told the story of a 19th century English orphan named Jane Eyre,...

Hi! I hope this is okay to post here. I’ve written a Jane Eyre modernization that started as fanfic but is now on amazone, amazon Scout. toi can get the book for free if toi nominate and amazone, amazon chooses to publier it! It’s called The Rise and Fall of Jane, link: link

Anyway, I l’amour all things Jane! When I graduated from high school, my dad even managed to take me to the Broadway montrer that was playing for a while. I’ve read almost all the retellings and sequels I can find (besides rereading the original every so often) so I finally decided to write my own! Even if toi don’t want to nominate on Amazon, toi can still find a version of my story on fanfiction.net if you’d like something Eyre-related to read.
Thanks again!

"JANE EYRE" (1973) Review

When I began this article, it occurred to me that I was about to embark upon the review of the sixth adaptation I have seen of charlotte Brontë's 1847 novel. I have now seen six adaptations of "Jane Eyre" and plan to watch at least one ou two more. Meanwhile, I would like to discuss my vues on the 1973 télévision adaptation.

For the umpteenth time, "JANE EYRE" told the story of a young English girl, who is forced to live with her unlikable aunt-by-marriage and equally unlikable cousins. After a clash with her Cousin John Reed, Jane Eyre is sent to Lowood Institution...

"JANE EYRE" (1983) Review

As long as I can remember, both the Hollywood and British film industries have trotted out charlotte Brontë’s 1847 novel, "Jane Eyre" in order to make a movie ou télévision adaptation of it. Looking back, I realize that I have seen at least six adaptation of the novel in my life time.

One of those adaptations turned out to be the 1983 BBC miniseries, "JANE EYRE". Directed par Julian Amyes and adapted par Alexander Baron, the eleven-part miniseries starred Zelah Clarke in the titre role and Timothy Dalton as Edward Rochester. Following Brontë’s novel, "JANE EYRE"...

"JANE EYRE" (1997) Review

There have been many adaptations of charlotte Brontë’s 1847 novel, "Jane Eyre". And I do not exaggerate. If I must be honest, I really have no idea of the number of adaptations made. I have seen at least six of them – including his 1997 télévision movie that aired on the A&E Channel in the U.S. and on ITV in Great Britain.

Directed par Robert Young, and starring Samantha Morton as the titled character and Ciarán Hinds as Edward Rochester; "JANE EYRE" told the story of a young and impoverished English woman forced to become a teacher at a girls’ school in...
