Only if it is something that doesn't make sense. "Cinderella should have moved on or called the police". Oh, yes, call the historically inaccurate police, Cindy, and buy a house with the money you don't have. Sure.

But if it is something like "I hate Snow White because her voice is annoying", I just find it plain strange. A favorite list should be based mostly in personality, Imo.

If it's a valid, well-explained reason, I can live with it. If it's a ridiculous one that is not supported at all, I get irritated.

(Sorry, I know all my posts tend to be a mile long on this site, but I always want to make sure my opnions are well-supported. If I say something negative about something I know someone else likes, I want to at least have the courtesy of explaining that I have a well-thought out reason, not just "omg she's so lame!")

Anyway, it doesn't bug me at all really, but I try to make them see that they hate it for stupid reasons, for their own sake.

Tangled hate is one things I don't get really on here. Everyone who hates it tries to have a reason but they all just give one word reasons of why they hate it.

The I can have a favorite option is for Dylan I am guessing.

Anyway, for people like Shan Yu, even though I get bothered I can understand where they are coming from. For people like Pocahontas or John smith or whoever it is always a stupid reason and I get so mad. Of course they can just not like a character just because if they want to, but if you are going to give a reason don't give an invalid reason like "Shang is too serious". It's like, yeah, Shang is gonna be laughing during the army, especially since he knows that they are China's last hope, Really, it totally makes sense. People also say, well then of course he didn't have to be laughing or anything, but he could loosen up a bit. When really it is common sense that when you are China's last hope you have to get straight to the point and can't waste any time.

Macy: Ok, they had law enforcement back then. My bad. But my point still stands: there was nothing she could have done (besides poisoning her stepfamily, but that would arise suspicions and would be simply cruel). Also, I think it is clear Lady Tremaine had legal hold of the family's fortune.

Anyway, I actually can see why people don't like Aurora. I admit that she's not the easiest princess to get to know so when people say that she doesn't have a strong personality, while I disagree, I can see why they would say that due to her small amount of screen time and her more subdued personality traits. What annoys me more of people that hate Aurora, are that some of her fans are so annoying. The hipsters, "Oh I love Aurora because she sleeps a lot and I sleep a lot too" I've literally heard that before -___- And the "Oh, she wears pink, and I LOVEEE pink!" Ugh, hate that too. Or that she's romantic or all the other things they say about her that I could care less about.

Over time I've learned to respect other peoples opinions and try to see things their way. The beauty of having a favourite is that they almost belong to you in a special way.

^I know what you mean by that! I know it sounds weird to say this, but I'm actually kind of annoyed by all the praise Aurora is getting lately..I miss when barely anyone else was a fan of her...it felt like she belonged to me in a way, not that I can't share, but.. :3

I don't mind people's opinions, they're free to have them all I care but I get annoyed by ridiculous reasons some people say why they hate something. "cough" especially my elder brother who hates Mulan(which is quite my all time forever favorite) because "Ridiculous little girl can make giant monster fall on his back by kicking his feet off and it's impossible". Seriously that's practically only reason he ever gave why he hates Mulan.

I don't mind if people dislike my favourites, so long as their reasons are valid and justifiable. If they have reasonable arguments then I'll completely respect their opinion even if I disagree, but lame ass things such as "Jasmine is like so mean ugh she's such a bitch!!!!", "omg I hate Snow White, her voice is freakin annoying!!!!", "Cinderella y u no run away!!!!", "The classics have no personality!!!!", "omg John Rolfe stole Poca away from Smith i hope he dies!!!!".. NO, just no. Go home.

For lame reasons, yes! But if they can justfy their dislike/hate, I can understand

What Mongoose09 said. Everyone can have opinions and I respect them, as long they have decent reasons for disliking them.

I think most people have a few characters they dislike unreasonably. And I think a character that rubs you the wrong way is good reason enough to dislike him/her, we are not objective robots after all. But sometimes, haters try to find good reasons to dislike that character and that ends up sounding even worse if you get my drift. And yeah, some people are just more shallow than others, whatever.
