	maryksand picked I l’amour Ariel because she wanted something and would do anything to get it: I don't think that Eric gave Ariel a reason, considering the fact that she already had plenty of reasons to want to be "put of the sea" and sang about being ready and willing to give a lot to persue a dream of becoming a human ("What would I give if I could life out of this waters"). Eric gave her the strength to fight for that dream and her father was the one who gave her the reason to rebel and go to Ursula after he destroyed all of her collection making it clear he was not going to respect her interests and worldview even if she has valid reasons to not share his judgement against all the humans and their culture. Anyway, I agree more with this one because I've always envied Ariel's courage and her dashing nature because I myself lack those traits or bravery to actually persue my dreams and achieve my goals. posted il y a plus d’un an.
