I might slip a cuss word ou two, you've been warned. As usual, I'm just going to cut to the chase.

13. Merida
I'm aware of the good things a dit about Merida, but there are just so many other things that turn me off. Like making an anti-princess Princess was boringly unoriginal on Pixar's part and she basically gives a middle finger to her predecessors and to girly girls in general. To sum it up, I'm just sick of the tough girl archetype she represents.

12. Aurora
I feel like there are Aurora fans who overanalyze her character, basing their interpretation on extremely minor factors. Even though she is likeable enough, I'm not too impressed with what's shown on screen. Aurora lacks backbone to stand up for herself and is a bit of a pushover. Which I can ultimately relate with but I hate those things about myself.

11. Tiana
In all honesty, I think Tiana is pretty amazing and I need some of her ambition in me. I greatly admire her for being capable of handling 2 jobs, barely having any time to rest. Even though there is plus to life than work, I still believe she is undoubtedly one of the best DP role models. With that said, I've never found her to be a compelling character for the simple fact that the movie focused far too much on Tiana being a workaholic that it almost became her one characteristic trait.

10. Rapunzel
I adore Rapunzel during the When Will My Life Begin sequence. Even though she was cooped up, she still got involved in countless interesting activities. That scene alone endears me to Rapunzel so much that I can never come to hate her. The problem is that her character feels inorganic and that's why I can't déplacer her up. It makes me sad because I'm a pretty big fan of Mandy Moore and Raiponce in general.

9. Elsa
I dislike Elsa's famous line that so many people applauded her for. Do they really think little girls are going to grow up marrying strangers being influenced par some of the Princesses? That's bullshit if toi ask me but anywho, I'm just mad at the audience praising La Reine des Neiges for being revolutionary. I don't think of Elsa as being a good role model for people who are suffering from anxiety, although the way she takes it is pretty realistic. She runs away from her problems, restores herself when she's alone and then let fears control her all over again. I get the appeal, she has the potential to be my favori DP but as toi can see, I have a few issues with her.

8. Cinderella
With everything that Cendrillon withstood for years, she still didn't let her bitterness show, she kept working her fingers to the bone everyday and most importantly she kept her spirit alive. Her morals are something to live by. I have little to no complaints about Cinderella, she is wonderful but the Princesses above her are plus my type.

7. Snow White
Snow White is a simple character so it's simple as to why I l’amour her; she is sweet, funny and spunky. She fills her own world with sunshine par making the best out of a bad situation which is something I constantly have to remind myself of doing. Her contagious smile and praying for Grumpy to like her all add up to her delightfulness.

6. Belle
As toi can tell par now, I'm a Renaissance Princess lover ^_^ Although highly idealized, Belle represents everything that is good. She is beautiful but doesn't flaunt it, modesty is one of the most attractive traits to me. She is rightfully stubborn, she wants things to live up to her expectations and she never lowers her standards. So yes, I have to say that I look up to Belle but that doesn't mean I opt for perfection.

5. Anna
There's a saying that goes along the lines of ''The people that seem to be the hardest to l’amour are probably the ones that need it most.'' and that's what makes Anna incredible. Elsa constantly shuts Anna out the door. In response, Anna continued loving her sister unconditionally. I also l’amour how desperate for l’amour she is, it makes her stand out from the Revival Princesses.

4. Ariel
Ariel was solidly secured as my seconde favori but she has dropped 2 placements. The reason for that is because I could see my teenage self in Ariel. But now that I've grown, I don't want to look back into those years any longer. I do feel disloyal but my opinions on her are still as positive as before, I l’amour her for being a pioneer for energetic, bubbly and flawed animated heroines. Not to mention she is exuberant, takes risks and breaks boundaries. I don't think my l’amour for her will ever fade.

3. Jasmine
jasmin is no superwoman as she gives up easily and fails on a regular basis but at least that makes her realistic. Besides, there's so much to l’amour about Jasmine, I l’amour how she stands her ground for what she believes in and how confident she is using her sexuality as a weapon. She shows that a woman doesn't have to be overly sweet to be good-natured. She shows that it's okay to have a temper and go on chienne mode. She is so different from how female characters are usually portrayed.

2. Pocahontas
I l’amour how Pocahontas is playful but can be mature when the situation demands it, it's interesting how a lot of her characteristic traits contradict themselves. She tries to do the right thing but her cœur, coeur can rule her over at times. That leads to her feeling as if she has Lost herself, being unable to make decisions. I can ultimately relate to her not having herself well put together while admiring her at the same time for trying to solve problems keeping an open mind. I find the journey she goes on choosing the harder but right path to be a beautiful one.

1. Mulan
I'm just going to say that I don't think Mulan loses her flaws during the course of her movie, she was just becoming the best person she could be. Take it from someone who has felt like the slowest, laziest and useless piece of shit over a an ago. Metaphorically, going through military training can in fact make a man out of you. The transition she went through that musical number was believable to me because I got the opportunity to progress too. Sincerely, anyone can be a hero having the right mindset. Mulan is one of my role mannequins because she is fiercely intelligent and teaches us that toi don't have to do what society expects toi to do, finding your own strengths can lead to success.
