Princess Lineup (as of Dec. 2013)
Princess Lineup (as of Dec. 2013)
Hello, and welcome to my seconde article! I am ApplesauceDoctr, and today I shall discuss the redesigns of the Disney Princesses made earlier this year. There have been some major changes, including new hairstyles, new dresses, and of course, a ton of sparkles. How do their new designs stack up to their original DP designs? Let's find out!

I won't be evaluating these par how accurate the redesigns look to the actual character to the movie; this will evaluate how the redesign looks in comparison to the précédant DP design. If that doesn't make sense, let's just begin and you'll get the hang of it. ;D

Merida won't be included in this countdown because although she lacks much resemblance to her original character, she is a new addition and we have yet to see her DP character redesigned.

10. Cinderella
Cinderella's redesign was probably the most altered of all the princesses. Her hairstyle has changed - instead of that strange updo she had originally, it looks like a plus realistic bun and she has one loose strand of hair. Her dress has gone from a pale blue/light blue to a very BRIGHT shade of blue. It is accompanied par embroidery patterns on the bottom, new sleeves, and, of course, many sparkles. Sparkles can also be found on her hairband.
This "new" Cinderella, while pretty, doesn't have much resemblance to the précédant design for Cendrillon ou even to the original character in the movie. The change of hairstyle and dress makes her quite different. In addition, her face looks a little different, particularly the eyes.

9. Mulan
Mulan also underwent some drastic changes. Her face looks really different - it just doesn't look like Mulan anymore. Her hairstyle has seemed to have gotten longer with a few loose strands of hair.
A lot has changed about her dress - there are MANY new embroidery patterns all over, and once again, many sparkles. The green sleeves have gotten longer, and the red ribbon-like accessory extends to the bottom of the dress.
This hardly looks like Mulan (from the movie) ou even her précédant design. So much has changed about her, from her hairstyle and face to her signature dress.

8. Pocahontas
Deary me, Pocahontas has gotten several new accessories that she doesn't look quite the same. The reason she isn't any lower is because toi can still recognize her, even with these accessories. Speaking of which, let's talk about them.
I think the most obvious modification was the addition of chaussure, chaussures - boots, to be exact. Why Pocahontas would need boots as she's running around the forest, I haven't a clue. That's not all, though. Her dress has gotten longer and the color has slightly changed from a golden/beige color to a light beige. She now wears feathery earings and beads, and her signature blue collier is now a golden collier with blue jewels on it.
Her face also looks different - she doesn't look very happy with all of the accessories she has on. And donné the fact that she looks quite different from her précédant design, I can't blame her.

7. Ariel
Oh my goodness, what happened to her dress?! That's a great question.
Ariel didn't wear a green dress in her movie; she was seen in a blue dress and a rose ballgown, but never a green one. Her dress was probably changed so that she could have plus resemblance to her mermaid form - she had a green mermaid tail, and this dress now recognizes that. Still, it isn't an accurate change. And she even has green shoes on. Ariel's hair is also different. It wasn't nearly as curly and wavy as it is now.
Thankfully, not much else has changed. Although Ariel is wearing a new dress and has a different hairstyle, she still looks like herself, which is why she isn't any lower on this list.

6. Jasmine
It's obvious Disney realized that jasmin isn't exactly one to wear dresses. So what do they do? Make her pants look as close to a dress as possible, of course!
Jasmine's tube haut, retour au début and pants have gone from a pale blue/green to a bright blue/green. Most notably, though, her pants have been accompanied with a long skirt-like accessory to cover up the fact that she wears pants, and her haut, retour au début now has some similar sleeves.
Her hair is different. It doesn't quite have the same volume - it just looks weaker. Notice that the tip of her ponytail isn't a curl anymore; it just kind of ends. Like Cinderella, she has a loose strand of hair.
toi know what I think is even worse than makig her pants look like a dress? Making jasmin look so much younger! Her face just doesn't look the same and makes her look far younger than she did before. And that, my friends, is possibly the worst thing Disney could do.

5. Belle
Much like Ariel, Belle's hair has gotten much plus curly and wavy. It looks kind of nice, but it is different from her original hairstyle. It appears as though Belle is wearing some makeup, too.
But the most obvious change is her dress - at first it was pretty yellow, but now it looks plus golden. The lower part of the dress now has some embroidery in the shape of roses (which makes sense) and sparkles.
While Belle has gone under some changes, she still looks (somewhat) like herself.

4. Aurora
While I don't think Aurora's précédant design even looked like her character from the movie, her redesign doesn't look too different from that précédant design. Her hair seems a little glossier and yellow. Her dress has a bit of a different shade of pink, but to be quite honest, this new rose matches the rose dress she wears in the movie better than that précédant rose did. And of course, there are plus sparkles.

3. Snow White
Snow White...where do I begin? Well, like Aurora, her hair seems glossier and her hairband seems to have gone from red to sparkly pink. Also sparkly is her dress, which is a treasure trove of sparkles.
The torso of the dress is a brighter blue with some embroidery, and the red...thingies on the sleeves have also become rose (to match the hairband). Snow White's jupe is a far brighter yellow and, once again, has embroidery and sparkles.
I think the problem here was Snow White getting an excessive makeover of sparkles, brighter colors, and patterns. But still, she looks like herself, even with all of this excessive-ness.

2. Rapunzel
Rapunzel, being the most modern princess to have a redesign, looks almost the same. However, there are a few changes. I believe that her dress is a slightly different shade of purple than it was before, and if toi couldn't notice the sparkles, then toi should notice them now. The only other change was adding some embroidery to the bottom of the skirt, but besides these, Rapunzel looks almost the same.

1. Tiana
I would hardly say that Tiana's redesign looks inaccurate - the most notable change was the addition of sparkles, but it fits her really well! If I remember correctly, in the film, her green dress had plenty of sparkles, so this is not a bad change.
Tiana's dress and hairstyle practically remained untouched, and that my Friends brings her to the haut, retour au début of this list.

Merida
While I can't judge Merida's design (this is only her first one), she was not included in this countdown. But that doesn't mean we can't talk about her!
She looks much plus feminine than the titre character from the movie, but even so Merida seems to fit into the lineup just fine.

From these redesigns, the addition of embroidery and sparkles are most commonly seen for all of the princesses. Some princesses have dress changes, others have new hairstyles, and still others just look like they had some plastic surgery. Are these bad changes? Not always, but they don't necessarily resemble their characters anymore. Oh well. Should Disney choose to redesign these princesses again (perhaps if Anna and Elsa join?) we'll be able to perform this countdown again. :D

Well, I thank toi for lire my seconde article! Do toi agree with any of these placements? Are there any changes toi would make to the list? How do toi think these princesses have changed? If toi have any comments, please feel free to respond below!
 The Princesses Before
The Princesses Before
Alright guys, this article's going to be one of the longer ones in this series, if not the longest. There are so many blue outfits among the DPs! I'm also really regretting not including the blue-green outfits in the green countdown instead of this one, because it ended up being so long, but oh well. I hope toi enjoyed it anyway!

10. Mulan's blue sleepwear

I didn't think this outfit deserved to be the first one eliminated. I like the style of the top, and it looks very comfy to sleep in. I can see why people wouldn't like it though.

Anyways, this one is the most...

 Cheer up, Beast.
Cheer up, Beast.
Hi guys, I remember that a few months ago. I wrote about Gerard Butler playing the beast, so here are my other choices, including Butler himself and my reasons why. So, here we go!

1. Joaquin Phoenix

I saw video clips of him in the 2000 film, Quills. Which I think it set around the same time as Beauty and the Beast, I personally think that he's the perfect candidate for the character.

2. Patrick Wilson

This musical theatre veteran had play in populaire musicals, in the likes of Carousel, Oklahoma and as Raoul in the 2004 Phantom of the Opera. He serenades us with his chant and is also a perfect...

Hi everyone!

So it's been about six months since I joined Fanpop, and about as much time since I published my first DP article ranking the DPs. This article will explain my new ranking of the Disney princesses (including Anna and Elsa) from lowest to highest in my opinion. Hope toi like it!

13. Elsa (same spot)

Unfortunately, Elsa’s still at the bottom of my list. This is mainly because she doesn’t seem to exhibit any worry about the kingdom and sister she leaves behind after they find out about her ice powers, which is disconcerting since she spent her whole life...

 Brotherly l’amour
Brotherly love
Hi guys, since I had compare both Titanic and Frozen. There is another movie that I notice that is similar to the latter, and that movie is Brother Bear.

Brother Bear

Apart from the sibling love, Kenai actually reminds me of Elsa, because like Elsa, he needs to have brotherly l’amour with Koda. He was also mistakenly thought to be the same ours in his brother, Denahi's eyes that killed his 2 brothers and became vengeful until the ending scene when Kenai gets turn back into a human.
Koda is very much like Anna, because they're both optimistic. It wasn't until that he found out the truth that Kenai...

Disney Princess films deserves plus weddings
Disney Princess movies deserves more weddings
After the article of wedding gowns for DPs, it got me thinking as to how would each princess get married, what would be the theme of the wedding and so on. I l’amour weddings! So, I have thought of theme based weddings for all princesses. Hope toi enjoy this. This part talks about only classic princesses.

Snow: The Il était une fois Woods
After all the life and death crisis, I think a private forest wedding ceremony, just between the prince(and his close family) and the dwarfs would be a harmonious affair. After all, this is where she found her life back and the family she's ever known. And being her,...

My 2nd Valentine's jour themed article and this time it's about my haut, retour au début 10 most romantic DP Movie Moments, hope you'll like this article

10. Pocahontas & John Smith shares their first kiss

This was a risky déplacer considering what happened afterwards and considering that they didn't get as much privacy as they wanted, but wow, this scene is so beautiful and romantic, the musique is amazing here and the Kiss is quite passionate

9. Eric shows Ariel his kingdom

I feel like one of few who doesn't find the bateau ride scene to be romantic, it's plus of a silly scene and the song isn't even romantic...

Hello everyone!
I'm ezilo25 and this is my very first article on this site! I wanted to do something special, and since I have read the Grimms Tale in German my whole life, I wanted to do a comparison of Disney movie adaptations and the Tales of Grimm. So, let's get started! Oh, and excuse me if I do grammatical
mistakes, I'm french, so please forgive me!

Cinderella

Oh, Cinderelli... I adore the Disney character, I am passionate about the animation movie, but I am in l’amour with Aschenputtel, the Grimms version of the Cinderella. Yes, I know, the movie is inspired par the Perrault version, which...
