When I was faced with the decision of what to play during my wedding, it was easy- Disney l’amour songs. I wanted to incorporate Disney into my wedding (which is in December), but not have it be in-your-face ou cheesy, so that was my decision. (I'm also having a glass slipper as a cake topper.) :) So while planning my list, I realized that I have very specific favoris when it comes to DP l’amour songs, so I thought I'd share them with you. Enjoy!

10) A Whole New World

Man, does this song get on my nerves. I’m sure it was groundbreaking when Aladin was released, but this song is so cliché and so overdone at this point that the song has been put on my ‘do not play under penalty of death’ list. I don’t hate the song itself- as far as the technical quality and performance of the song, it’s a pretty good song. But because of my excessive exposure to it, and because of how populaire the song is, even outside the context of the movie, ‘A Whole New World’ is kind of the ‘Call Me Maybe’ of the Disney universe.

9) Ma Belle Evangeline

I’m one of the 9 people in the world who actually enjoys The Princess and the Frog, and I’m one of the 4 people in the world who actually really likes the music. I like that it runs the gamut between Broadway, gospel, New Orleans jazz, and good old fashioned montrer tunes, and as someone born and raised in the South, I understand and appreciate the locally-focused musique plus than some people. However, Ma Belle Evangeline isn’t the best song in the bunch. I l’amour the way it is sung, and I appreciate the unfettered romance behind it, but it is still a little passionless. I would have preferred for Naveen and Tiana to have had a l’amour song of their own, like on the soundtrack, rather than ‘crash’ a song sung par someone else, to someone else.

8) If I Never Knew You

I think as far as passion goes, this song tops them all. There’s a longing, a yearning in it that is lacking in other songs, and I l’amour that it is a song tinged with sadness. It Suits – Avocats sur Mesure the tone of Pocahontas and makes the song memorable. However, it’s this low on the liste for two reasons: for one thing, it wasn’t actually featured in the movie, so most people don’t even realize that this is a legitimate song. And two, I guess due to the time period and the fact that Disney was trying to be plus ‘cool,’ the song is so heavy with 90s’ clichés that it’s almost unbearable now. The construed keyboard, the mechanical syncopation, and the breezy ‘Peabo Norman had a baby with Michael Bolton’ chant just grate on my nerves. Therefore, ‘If I Never Knew You’ is pretty close to the bottom of the list.

7) Once Upon a Dream

This is a song that I find cute, but, much like the rest of the movie, kind of bland and soulless. I know a lot of people enjoy the effervescence and sweetness of it, but even as a child, it wasn’t a song I particularly caught on to, and now, as an adult, I find myself humming along, but not really being invested. It isn’t a bad song, but it’s just a bit too light and frothy for me.

6) So This is Love

‘So This is Love’ is the quintessential l’amour song for me. Soft, elegant, restrained, and grandly romantic, much like the rest of ‘Cinderella,’ it is the most perfect description of what falling in l’amour is like, in my opinion. In fact, when I get married in December, I’ll be walking down the aisle to ‘So This is Love’ rather than the wedding march, because I l’amour the song, and because I hate the wedding march. (It’s scary and it sounds like death.) While it isn’t the song I immediately jump to on my iPod, I think there is a timeless feel about it, and that’s what makes Cendrillon such a memorable movie and character. While it was created in a very defined period, it isn’t so swallowed in 1950’s culture that it sounds foreign now, unlike some of the other songs on this list.

5) I See the Light

'I See the Light' is a perfect example of the negative side of what I discuss in the précédant article. It has such a ‘late 2000’s’ feel, particularly Mandy Moore’s pretty, but breathy and fake-ish voice, that in 20 years it will probably seem painfully silly. It is almost too modern for a fairytale film, as are many of the other songs. However, there are some redeeming factors that set the film apart from the others below it- Zachary Levi. His voice is so smooth and so full of emotion that the rest of the song is forgiven for its sins. He really brings the song to life, and for that reason, and that reason alone, I like ‘I See the Light’ plus than the songs before it.

4) Something There

I think 'Something There' is a good example of a song that is content to be what it is. It’s light, its happy, it sounds intrigued and friendly, and it perfectly sets the tone for the remainder of the film. There’s a happiness here that is missing in lots of l’amour songs- lots of songs focus on l’amour that is passionate, sweeping, all consuming, ou dangerous, but very few songs focus on the simple joy of spending time with someone toi l’amour and trust. Belle and the Beast are beginning to be friends, not lovers, and that’s my favori part of the song- it feels so honest to what real l’amour is.

3) One Song

Remember how I talked about ‘So This is Love’ having a timeless appeal? I feel the same way about ‘One Song.’ While it is plus period-centric and seems plus dated than ‘So This is Love,’ there is nonetheless a classic beauty to it, a simple, star-struck ode to the first prick of Cupid’s arrow. The song is short and sweet- a little declaration of devotion, serenaded par a man who warbles plus than really sings, but it’s pulled off nicely, and the song tends to get stuck in my head when I’m feeling particularly in l’amour with my fiancé. It’s a sweet song that proves toi don’t need a full 3.50 minute song to convey your feelings for your loved one.

2) Beauty and the Beast

For me, 'Beauty and the Beast' embodies all the aspects of l’amour I like the most- friendship, passion, romance, sincerity, sacrifice, and personal humility. The musique is understated, but moving, and the simple, minimal chant par Angela Lansbury is about a real, heartfelt love, not a grand, breakneck romance. As far as technical music, i think Beauty and the Beast is the best Disney l’amour song, and I can't wait to feature in my wedding. (Fun note: My fiance and I consider 'Beauty and the Beast' to be 'our movie,' because he says I'm so much like Belle. Once, he even bought me a $100 livres a Million gift card because he "couldn't afford a bibliothèque yet." :)

1) Kiss the Girl

I know this is weird as far as l’amour songs go, but I absolutely ADORE ‘Kiss the Girl.’ I l’amour the chorus of fish, I l’amour the music, I l’amour the anticipation, and I l’amour the relatable nature of the song. Everyone has been in the situation where there is obvious romantic tension in the air, and there are two lovebirds who simply haven’t found the courage to express their emotions about it. For reasons I cannot fully explain, ‘Kiss the Girl’ is my favori Disney song ever, and it is the song that I will be playing in my ceremony during the ‘kiss the bride’ sequence and during our grand exit.

So there toi have it- Phantomrose89’s favori Disney Princess l’amour songs.
Okay, so I have noticed there is some kind of Rapunzel war going on Fanpop, ou something...not going to say names ou anything. It first started with a question thread, and now several pick questions, and well...

It needs to stop. Guys, I am all for having opinions, but really.

I feel really bad, because, personally, I feel like I participated in the bashing to an extent. I expressed my opinion in the question thread, but I feel like I bashed her too. I re-watched clips of Rapunzel and also read about the good things people had to say about her.

I can see why people can relate to her, with being...

My first article written since I’ve been back! :) Hope toi guys like it and FYI; my haut, retour au début four are probably typical ha.

10) Rapunzel

I l’amour her hair and she has cute eyebrows, but global, ensemble her looks don’t cut it for me. She has a big head and a weird nose, and her eyes are freakishly huge; they take up half her face. Just way too cartoony for me, she looks like a bobble head IMO.

9) Ariel

Another one that’s too cartoony. She has some really pretty shots, like the picture I’m using; it’s my favori of her. Her hair would be prettier if it weren’t for her bangs, I don’t like...

I was over at the hospital getting my head bandaged after falling down the stairs, when I noticed a familiar brunette lying in the cot beside mine.
A journalist is NEVER afraid to ask questions, so I pulled out my notepad and pushed my cot closer.

Me: Hey, are toi Princess Belle?

Belle: *nodding* Yes. And who are you?

Me: My name is Alexis, and I'm planning to be a journalist when I grow up, so is it okay if I interview toi for a bit?

Belle: Of course toi can.

Me: *clearing throat* Do toi feel scared sometimes? Living with a beast?

I'm sure that many of us (girls) dressed up in our childhood (and some of us maybe do it even now) as Disney Princesses. ou at least dressed up in rags pretending out them to be huge, sparkly gowns. The famous movie that everyone's talking about!
The famous movie that everyone's talking about!
Hi everyone, this is the first time that I'm écriture a review about Tangled. I recently watched the movie and absolutely l’amour it!
The storyline is amazing and partially unpredictable, reminds me of the Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter in a way. The colours are superb and multicoloured, really makes my day!
The characters are funny, witty and full of mysteries surrounding themselves, especially Rapunzel and Pascal. I really, REALLY l’amour her as she became my #1 favourite suddenly!
To conclude my reviews are the musique and the architect of the building, the song "I see the light" makes me cry as it again became my favourite and the tempo reminds me of "So Close" from Il était une fois (which is the only song I like from Enchanted). Finally, the architect is beautiful that it looks like one of the castles from France. The roof itself looks very Bohemian and Medieval.

Well, that's my review and hope toi enjoy lire it though it's not the best!
 l’amour her very much!
Love her very much!
Well.. I sorta got bored and decided to compile a liste of my favourite DP songs in order and then averaged out the results to come up with a favourite soundtrack list. All images are mine. Hope this article turns out okay! I doubt many will agree with me ahah. Here goes..

(I'm ONLY counting songs btw, NOT the background score otherwise the liste would be completely different)

#10. Sleeping Beauty

I am going to be honest: I didn't expect to be voted as FOTM. ROFL Honestly. I haven't been on as most people here, so I was shocked. Trying to decide what the best all time Disney movie is not an easy task to do, but trying to determine what the haut, retour au début five Disney princess films are is even harder. One of the best things about the Disney princess films are how much they have influenced kids of all ages. Little girls enjoy princess dress up clothes even plus so because of the Disney princesses. Putting on that Cendrillon costume ou even a Snow White dress allows them to dream that someday they will find a prince.

Princess dress up clothes even encourages...

Gaston smiled wickedly. "Your honor, I am not a liar, but I only did this in the chercher of true love..."

Cendrillon smoothed back her hair. "This is terrible! Now we have to find Snow White, too!"

Since most of the Disney princesses are derived from fairy tales they have gone through many transformations before Disney took their stab at it. I’m going to use the stories I grew up on as “the original”.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
In the original Brothers Grimm story the evil Queen tries three times before the poisoned pomme to kill Snow White and fails, ones with a poison comb, once with a murderously tight hair ribbon and another time with a similarly tight corset. Each time she is saved par the dwarves. Disney also gets rid of the queens violent smashing of the magic...

Aurora walked into the tiny cottage, which she had left at age 16 to become a princess. She sighed and looked around. Memories flooded back of her 5th birthday, the fées smiling at her and hugging her, giving her a black headband to wear, which she ended up wearing up to her 16th birthday, until it was replaced with a tiara. Aurora frowned and reached up to her tiara and took it off her head, setting it on the small wooden table, tableau in the center of the room. She took the small black headband and put it on her head. She smiled and sighed. She felt like Briar Rose again. Aurora turned and smiled,...
