I am a huge Disney fan and I when I was little and still today I have been inspired par Disney princesses. I believe that each princess has a positive characteristic that makes then easy to look up to. Another characteristic that i believe the princesses have is something that most would disagree with. It is the imperfectness of each character. Most talk about how perfect the princesses are but I fail to see that. Each one has a characteristic that makes then imperfect but at the same time, making them realistic. Because I like to be donné examples I will share some:
Ariel: She was a key symbol for determination growing up. She was willing to do whatever it took to get something once she set her mind to it. However, she lacked respect for her father and often disobeyed his wishes.
Aurora: She showed me that it sometimes is okay to not take life super seriously and sometimes just sit back and jour dream. However, she also is imperfect because she fails to get her head out of the clouds and back to reality.
Belle: She helped me be able to give seconde chances. Beast was mean to her and she gave he a chance to redeem himself and came to l’amour him. However she also go to the North Wing when she knows she was asked not to and beast is furious, montrer that curiosity to a certain extent can get toi in trouble.
Cinderella: She was a dreamer from the start of the movie to finish. She showed that sometimes toi just cant do everything par yourself and sometimes need to just dream and hope and have a little faith. However she never seemed to have very much self confidence to me and was not willing to get herself out of her terrible situation with her stepmother.
Esmeralda: She taught me that toi can stand up for what toi believe in. She stood in front of the rest of the town and stood up for Quasi. But she did not have much self-worth. She did not believe that she was important enough for God to listen to ou care for.
Jasmine: She taught me how to have self respect. From the beginning of the movie she refuses to be treated as something to be won. However she does sneak out of her accueil to go explore the marketplace, disobeying her fathers wishes.
Mulan: Mulan showed me how to stand up and do what is right and not what is easy. She took her fathers place in the war and persevered through training and saved China. However she did lie to several people. Even though her intentions were good, a lie is a lie.
Pocahontas: She showed me how to be my own person and not copy everyone else. She falls in l’amour with someone different from the usual standards of her people. However she does sneak around to see him and does not tell her family and Friends to truth right away.
Rapunzel: She showed me how to be brave. She had never been outside her tower and was Rebelle enough to be led out into the world to fulfill her dream. However she does not trust Fylnn very much and will not give him back his crown until they are on the bateau about to se the lights.
Snow White: She taught me how to have a good time while working and doing things I do not particularly enjoy. But, she also is easily hoodwinked into eating a poison apple, montrer she lack in common sense.
Tiana: She showed me how to work hard to acheive my goals. She puts everything she has into building her own restaurant and does succeed. However she was very rude to Naveen because she became too independent and no longer relied on others.
