Darksiders, the game that bought clever & inventive puzzles alongside engaging, fast-paced combat to the gaming market. Darksiders 2 does the same and expands upon the cleverness of the first game.
Like the original Darksiders, the environment and world design is phenomenal. The unique artsyle of Darksiders 2 fits the games' environments exceptionally well. What Darksiders 2 does that is different is the subtle implementation of RPG mechanics. From levelling your character to collecting different gear with various stats, to doing side quests for other characters. toi can play as a necromancer who conjures skeletons and other, plus powerful creatures to fight par your side ou toi can play as a Harbinger that focuses plus on melee abilities & buffs. toi could even combine elements from both skill trees to come up with your own, unique playstyle.
The soundtrack to the game is stunning. When toi first enter the Forge Lands, beautiful musique washes over toi and toi just get this pleasant feeling about where toi are. A feeling of peace and serenity. Then toi can be in the midst of battle and this epic musique plays that makes toi feel totally badass!
Dungeon musique also fits well. My personal favourite dungeon theme is 'Into Eternity.'
Combat has lots of variety and is very enjoyable. The faster pace takes a little while to get used to if you're plus used to slower-paced games like Dark Souls but once toi get the hang of it, it's a blast! While toi can use your scythes to do some cool combos, they just get better when toi combine them with a secondary weapon such as a hammer ou armblades. I found that the best way to approach combat is to dodge & hit, doge & hit because enemies can deal quite a lot of damage if you're not careful.
There are plentiful dungeons in the game and they all offer unique puzzles and boss fights. toi also acquire a variety of 'tools' from going through these dungeons. They are required to solve many of the puzzles and obstacles throughout your journey. Some of my favourite tools include the 'Deathgrip' which allows toi to balançoire, swing across large gaps ou pull enemies and items towards toi ou toi towards larger foes. 'Soul Split' allows Death to divisé, split into two different entities. One can be used to stand on a pressure late to open a grate while the other can activate a lever inside that room. Soul divisé, split has many clever uses throughout the game. My final favourite tool in the game makes a return from its' predecessor, the 'Voidwalker.' This special item allows toi to create portals and travel between them. toi can even create a portal from looking through another portal!

If you're a fan of large variety of clever puzzles, exploration and satisfying combat, toi should definitely play this game and toi should definitely consider playing the first game as well.

Tonya Williams, the proud, super étoile, star twin gal, will soon go on her knees to her twin , Sonya , who she has kept out of her life like a stitch never put back into it's bodice. When her over- popularity and lifestyle gets her into a serious mess, she finds herself in what we call "Twin Ties" Sonya needs to become Tonya, if her twin, Tonya will ever be sûr, sans danger again.
