1D's Zayn Malik to feature on new Naughty Boy album

The heartthrob is believed to be trying to pave out a career as a rapper for when One Direction split.

It might not seem the most obvious collaboration but super producer Naughty Boy is hoping for more chart success by enlisting the help of 1D\'s Zayn Malik.

The La La La hit maker - whose real name is Shahid Khan previous praised Zayn\'s rapping skills after they shared studio time on 1D\'s track One Chance To Dance.

And now The Sun has confirmed that floppy-haired heartthrob Zayn has been working with Naughty Boy, and has offered up his vocals for a track on his second studio album.

When speaking to The Independent about Zayn last year, Naughty Boy said: I’m really impressed by him and his writing ability."

It is believed that the 22-year-old pop star is hoping to pave a career as a rapper for when the time comes that One Direction split up.

Earlier this week One Direction boss Simon Cowell gave the band the green light to do solo projects - as long as for now they don\'t split.

The X Factor mogul, who signed the five lads after they appeared on the show in 2010 says that it\'s healthy for the band to follow their separate dreams.

Simon, 55 said: You can’t knock what One Direction are doing. They’re making great records and I think that’s why they’re still so popular.

“I hear speculation all the time that they’re going solo. My advice is they should stay together but still do things they want as a little bit on the side.”

Last week Zayn also made headlines when he left the stage before the end of a gig in Perth, Australia.

Reps for the star said it was "nothing serious" and it was hoped he would be well enough for their next show.

One fan said: "he went off stage. N didnt come back. Niall announced that he\'s ill."
