Many people discriminate this as "disgusting" ou "revolting", but then again that is what the term "fujoshi" means: a rotten woman. Anyways, back to he point!
yaoi has been aound for some time, getting publicity from mostly fan girls and some boys. People will usually think "Why like yaoi?" ou even just eliminate the idea that they will ever like yaoi. But actually, yaoi is just plus than images montrer two boys. When toi really think about it, yaoi is montrer the freedom of love, setting an example that l’amour has no boundaries. In most cases, l’amour with two of the same gender is weird, abnormal, discriminating, and some even believe it's crazy. But it's actually nice to know that there's people out there who don't follow the rules of just making straight couples, which most mangas and animes do.
How many animes/mangas can toi name with yaoi couples? How many can toi name with straight couples? Can toi see a difference?
Just like yaoi, there's also girls love, ou yuri. This is plus populaire with males, but also females. When toi think of a male liking yaoi, ou a female liking yuri, toi probably would believe they're gay ou lesbain. Surprisingly, there is people out there who are straight and watch manga ou animé with couples of the same gender.
So why do people still discriminate ou talk about those who like yaoi and yaoi itself?
They just don't see eye-to-eye like others. Yes, there will be people who will go against many things, but it's better if they are left alone.
My point is, there is nothing wrong about liking yaoi ou for people liking yaoi. People who are anti-yaoi, accept it. People who like yaoi, keep doing your thing. So don't let anyone ruin your fun and happiness, your fangirl squeals, loving the fanservice, whatever toi like, enjoy it. We live in a judgemental world with judgemental people, but that's doesn't mean toi gotta be one.
