Now, I was always a gamer. Even when I was 7. However, I wasn’t as Rebelle while playing games as I am now when I was 7. So, toi can imagine that their were a lot of terrifying things. So, I am going to tell toi all the things in games that scared me as a kid. Now, these are all going to be games I played when I was only 7. So, I am not going to put any of the horror games on this list. Also, no Giygas, ou Mimi, because those would be too obvious. Sorry. And with all that said, lets start the list
#10: Boulders from Crash Bandicoot - Yes, that’s right, I was such a wuss back then, I was scared of a giant fucking rock. So, when I was playing this game, the first level was a simple jungle level. It was pretty fun. But, the seconde level gave us an Indiana Jones scene, where toi run away from a giant boulder that is trying to crush you, while toi jump over fences, and bottomless pits. This scared me because I wasn’t even expecting something that could kill me in one hit so quickly. That is what made me so scared. But, its lower, because it didn’t get scary after a while
#9: Start Up Screen from Playstation - Now, this may seem pretty stupid, but, remember, I was a real wuss growing up. So, when I first saw the start up screen for the Playstation, I was pretty freaked out. The loud and ominous music, mixed with the one logo in the middle of darkness really scared me as a kid. Sure, others look at it as a sign of nostalgia. Me? I look at it as a sign of The Devil trying to break through my screen and grab me… okay, maybe that’s a bit too much.
#8: King of the Arctic Mountain from Super Ghosts and Goblins - I WILL NEVER KNOW HOW I GOT THIS FAR IN THIS GAME! It is sûr, sans danger to say that Super Ghosts and Goblins is one of the hardest games ever made. So, its also sûr, sans danger to say that I was a real awesome gamer when I was only 7. However, all that was taken away when I came face to face with the King of the Arctic Mountain. When I first saw this guy, I was just stiff. He had one of the most threatening appearances I had ever seen for a boss at that time. This boss gave me nightmares for weeks. I am better now, but, Jesus, was this guy creepy
#7: Game Over Screen from rue Fighter - Now, I am not gonna lie, I wasn’t the best at fighting games. Yeah, I kick cul, ass at Super Ghosts and Goblins, but not so much at a simple fighting game. So, in other words, I saw the game over screen… quite a lot. Basically, when toi lose a match, toi have a ten seconde countdown, where toi either press start, ou just wait and lose. This scared me because of the tension I got, and I was always desperately pressing the start button just to get through it faster. I hated it. Thankfully, its not so bad now, but this badly scared my younger self
#6: Mr. Resetti from Animal Crossing - toi thought me being scared of a rock was stupid, well then how about being scared of a fat mole. Yes, Mr. Resetti actually scared me…. I was a real wuss of kid back then. So, when I first turned off my game without saving, I was met with this fat bastard, who popped up out of nowhere. At first, he wasn’t too bad…. until I turned the game off without saving two plus times. And then he got angry. This REALLY scared me. So much, that I was afraid he was gonna kill me in my sleep. Its a good thing Mr. Resetti is now optional in later Animal Crossing games… not because he’s scary due to his anger, but people thought he was stalking young women…. people really mention weird things in games like these, don’t they
#5: Dementors from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - Now, I have not watched much of the films to be honest. I’ve seen like three. I was plus interested in the books. However, I did at one point play this game because my grandmother bought it for Christmas… always leave it to your grandparents to buy toi those bottom-of-the-barrel video games. However, the game was pretty fun… that was until I met the Dementors. Seeing this things baffled me at how this game managed to get an E rating. The Dementors have this horrifying scream, and they always follow toi with their arms outstretched. Also, FUCKING LOOK AT THEM! That is just nightmare inducing, especially for a little kid.
#4: Game Over from Super Smash Bros. Melee - Damn, I haven’t played this game in years. I don’t know why… Oh, wait, yeah I do… IT’S BECAUSE THE GAME OVER SCREEN RUINED MY GAMING EXPERIENCE! Now, remember, I wasn’t the best at fighting games, and it seems that all of the fighting games from my childhood had scary game overs. But this one easily took the cake. When toi do lose, toi will be donné a chance to continue, however, the dark area toi are in is just so freaky. But, what’s worse, is that once toi run out of continues, toi get a terrifying game over. The announcers voice gives a scary echo, the musique is creepy, and it makes the already scary image even plus scary
#3: The Nazgul from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - Hey, look, another movie based game. This one, however, I actually really liked. toi know what I didn’t like… THE FUCKING NAZGUL! Sure, nowadays, he looks really cool, but back then, this bastard scared me. When toi play as Frodo, trying to escape a city invaded par Orcs, this thing is trying to catch Frodo, and there is the possibility that he will. toi need to get to one building to the suivant before the Nazgul see’s you. The Nazgul can’t see toi when inside buildings, so toi need to RUN to the suivant building. However, if he catches you, toi get to see Frodo get captured, eaten alive, and toi die. Can toi imagine how fucked my 7-year-old brain was just seeing that?
#2: Trail of Blood from Final fantaisie VII - Okay, this may be a bit of cheating, because I did not play Final fantaisie VII until I was ten, not seven. However, this still scared me all the same. After your whole party is captured par Shinra, toi go to sleep, but later wake up to find everyone in the building was murdered, and that their is a long trail of blood leading outside the building, and the entire building is filled with dangerous experiments. This really freaked me out. The music, the atmosphere, the fact that there was blood and dead bodies EVERYWHERE is a pretty good thing to mention, and the fact that I was always scared of something coming up to me and killing me. It scared me so much when I first played this. But, what could have scared me more
#1: titre Screen from Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask - Yes, the titre screen scared me. Not Majora, ou he Happy Mask Salesman, ou the Moon, ou the giant squid, ou the ghosts, ou the dying Zora, ou the giant eels, ou the aliens, ou ANYTHING in Ikana Canyon, ou the Final Hours song, ou the game over screen. No. The titre screen was the scariest thing in this game. Basically, when I played Ocarina of Time, I loved its opening. It was calm and beautiful… BUT MAJORA’S MASK SOUNDS LIKE SATAN’S BOWEL MOVMENTS! The musique was super creepy, along with the choice of sound effects. Mix that with Majora staring at you, the Happy Mask Salesman’s laugh, and the gaint moon with a fucking face ready to crush Termina, and that makes everything so much worse. I was so scared of this, that I cried like a little girl…. No, I’m not kidding. I literally cried. Probably pissed myself too, just to look even plus pathetic. I didn’t play this game until I was twelve… and I really hate myself for waiting five years to play this game. So, I avoided a game for five years after getting scared par the titre screen…. yeah, I think this easily makes the number one spot.
Well, there toi have it. Did toi enjoy the list. Tell me what toi thought of it below. With that, I will see toi all suivant time
