True Blood Question

*Spoiler Alert!*

Why did it take so long for Roman to die when other vamps (like Franklyn) went instantly?

And where was his pile of blood? No other vampire's facial features contorted like that and no others growled while it was happening... Did he maybe not meet the true death? Maybe the stake wasn't actually wood...

Roman Is 1 Of The Oldest Vampires.......Next To Russell. If U Remember.....When Godric Faced The Sun......He Evaporated/Turned Blue Flames/Sparkles. In Other Episodes After Roman's Death Other vampires Had Weird Contorted Facial Features. He DID Meet The True Death.
