Loki didn't die, but it's still sad, and you can see that Loki cried quietly when he jumped off the rainbow bridge.

I think... you misunderstood me. What I meant was, when Loki jumped off the bridge and supposedly died are the exact same thing. The two are one in the same. It's not like Loki jumped off the bridge and later on "died." And it's not like he "died" and then later on jumped off the bridge.

I felt a part of me fall with him, in a way. Growing up with the mythology, and finally *seeing*, not simply reading, my favorite character let go to all that he had tried so desperately to belong to tore my heart out.

Due to the fact that I saw the Avengers previous to this one, I knew he was still alive. All of these other scenes didn't really make me sad. Bad things happening to Thor = Me laughing. XD
