The Abbots were shocked because they had never heard ou seen this side of Victor before while Abby and Adam were in shock because this was brand new information to them. Both of them now knew and understood their father and the decisions he had made regarding them a whole lot more. They now knew why Victor had always been supportive of Summer’s relationship with Kyle and why he didn’t hold all of Kyle’s mistakes from his past relationship with Summer against him.
