Why do toi think they didn't include Meredith to the show?

Well, in the books, Elena is "the Queen" and Caroline is, frankly a chienne to her in there, so the livres needed Meredith to look like Bonnie wasn't her ONLY friend, but also, Meredith was ESSENTIAL to the books, cause they needed her grandfather to find out how to hurt Klaus.
In the show, they've changed the plot- ou the storyline, a hell of a lot, so Meredith isn't needed, since they found another way to intorduce Klaus and all that kind of things.

Meredith was always my favori in the livres and im mad she wasnt in the show. She almost always had an answer to everything and cared a lot about her friends. Since caroline is good in the show, im guessing they decided that elena didnt need three best Friends because then it would get to crowded. Meredith wasnt that essential to the plot because bonnie was a witch and caroline was destined to be important, meredith was human and not that exciting compared to the other two.
