But I'm also open to the idea of Bonnie/Matt- just because they were adorable in the books and in the show, Bonnie seems to hate all things supernatural (other than herself) so maybe she'd be better suited to a human BF. Plus it'd be interesting to see Carolines reaction.
But for now I'm 100% LOCKETT :D
Anyway..yeah, Tonnie. I've shipped them for quite some time now. Hoping for them this season!
What exactly have Bamon done that can make them epic like LOST couples? And 'oh they have a burning chemistry and would be amazing' doesn't make a couple epic.
If by handle you mean give him a headache and then try and burn him alive..... then yes. Though I'm going to go with most healthy relationships don't have that element. Just my opinion though.
Also Caroline can't really handle anyone.... so that's no surprise.
And Elena can definately handle Damon- she can get him to do anything without setting him on fire.
So my vote for who handles Damon best is def going to Elena.
End of thought.
Haven't you been watching the show? Damon's IN LOVE with Elena and would do anything for her. He took an arrow for her, for god's sake!
Elena is the only person he will listen to, the only one that seems to affect him now.
LISTEN GUYS. I understand people like Bamon, but reasons like the one I just posted is just ridiculous when if you were WATCHING THE SHOW you would know Elena is the key to Damon's HUMANITY and because of that she CAN handle him. Maybe not phyically, but emotionally she can and that's what love is all about. Besides, after the Katherine situation who is STRONGER than Bonnie, does Damon need such a powerful surging person to be in love with?
Love/hate relationships Are epic. Either you guys like it or not. I can't even wrap my mind on Tonnie, what in the heck do you guys see on two characters with no scenes together and even if they'll have scenes together Tyler will be an enemy. And Bonnie needs someone who can keep her real, you know on her toes and the same rule goes for Damon as well :)

Tonnie has as much chance (actually even MORE SO, since Tys love interest is Bonnie OR Caroline. What are the chances of Bamon at this point? Oh, yeah. 0%) as Bamon. They're both AU couples.
Concerning Tonnie, I don't mind them but now I think it would be a bit OOC for Bonnie (at least for the version of Bonnie they've been showing us in season 2). I mean, if she had fallen in love with him before learning he was a werewolf, that could have worked (not even sure, actually, look at how she acted with Caroline), but I don't see her dating Tyler knowing that he's a dangerous supernatural creature. Not now, at least.
That's why I said at this point Though, in my honest opinion I don't think they'll ever happen.
KW/JP said that S2/S3 would be the season to develop the relationship between Damon/Elena.

But isn't it OOC for Damon to fall out of love easily and back in love that much more easily? 145 yrs of pining for Katherine. Then him slowly falling in love with Elena....he's not the type to just give up.
Plus fanbase wise...well, I'm not gonna go there. I'm sure everybody is aware how much of a percentage the DE fans make up.
Anyway, I didn't mean to get into DE. This is about BD/BT. So..at this point, yes, Tonnie have a MUCH higher chance of happening then BD do. By about 50%. (The other 50% being Taroline)
Still, I'm not going to say Tonnie won't happen, but I disagree about the 50%.
I would never said NEVER regarding any couple on TVD, but IMO as it stands, Bamon won't happen. They might next season or the season after that, but not at the moment and it wouldn't make sense anyway, even a Bamon fan would see that.
As for Tonnie, I REALLY want them to happen, but I'm not sure whether they will get together yet. I think they have a good chance and as Paige said, they have 50%, the same as Forwood do, of happening. I don't think it would be OOC at the moment for Lockett to happen because we know it's werewolves against vampires and Bonnie has made it clear she doesn't like vampires. Unless Tyler does something seriously drastic, they have a good chance. Bonnie hasn't come across werewolves before so even though we as a viewer might see them as a dangerous, Bonnie can't because they haven't done anything to be classed as 'dangerous', and at the moment vampires are the enemy.
However, you have my full respect for this comment: you don't necessarily need scenes to ship people, you can just like the idea. As I've seen a lot of people think you can't ship a couple if they don't have scenes or Delena fans are just shipping them to get Stefan and Bonnie away from Delena.
But Tyler has been violent because of his werewolf nature, and not only with vampires, so I think he could be dangerous, even in Bonnie's eyes. Mason isn't because he learned to control himself, but Tyler hasn't yet. And didn't Michael Trevino said that Tyler would be a villain ? Well, I don't know, we'll see, again, I repeat, I'm not against Tonnie/Lockett :)
And yes, it's stupid to say so and so only ship X/Y because they want to keep Y away from Z. Sometimes it's true, but that's not the majority. As a Bamon shipper, I know you can ship 2 people because of the potential you think they could have, wether they have scenes together or not.
Honestly, a lot of people have biased views on their couples. That's why I answered like that.
I don't think it'd be OOC at all. Actually I think that Tyler is in a perfect position to be Bonnies love interest. As Katie said, they share the same hate for vampires, and Tyler at this point has done nothing to be a threat for Mystic Falls. The writers are brilliant, and I'm sure they could make this storyline extremely believable. Even enough for Tyler/Bonnie to be an ancor for the show.

Bonnie would not care at all, imo, if Tyler/Mason went after Damon/Stefan. She has no emotional ties to Damon/Stefan (although she has shown that she cares about Stefan. But she'd let Damon die in a heartbeat) She cares about her friends/family, and the HUMANS of Mystic Falls.

I like Bonnie single. :) She doesn't need a man in her life right now. But I'm open to most ships with her if the show wanted to go that way.

About the whole Bonnie and the brothers issue, you do realize that in Julie's interview she said that Damon's going to try to make Bonnie their allie right*even Ian said it*? And I do see more chances of that happening now that Bonnie and his brother are talking again.

They will, might not be now but they will and honestly the latter the better, cause that can only mean they'll consider to make bamon endgame.

I like the idea of Bonnie/Tyler and Bonnie/Matt. So I'm kinda going back and forth between the 2. I'm even starting to find Bonnie/Mason interesting.

Okay, Bamon might happen, but how can you possibly say they have as much chance as Delena? What you don't seem to grasp is that this show is about a love triangle which means Damon and Elena WILL have something in the show, which even JP/KW have confirmed. They've mentioned nothing about Bamon which in my eyes doesn't mean they won't happen, but that I think the couple that's most likely to happen is tipped in Delena's favour as it stands.
Damon and elena will never be together full time not like stefan and elena theier soul mates forver no one can change that
Plus stuff the tv programe bamon will be endgame in the books haha :D
They wouldn't even consider it, because of the backlash. (among a TON of other reasons)
And when people laugh because some Bamon fan found them epic, I seriously think that when I saw Delena are soulmate it's completely a joke too I guess!
People want to see what they want to see, some see chemistry between Delena, others on Bamon, ect..

When in my post did I say anything about end game? Unlike some people, I understand that it is way too early to tell who will be end game because things can change drastically. However, bringing the amount of fans Delena fan is actually a good thing to point out; if a couple has a huge number of fans, the writers can't ignore what the watchers of the show want because they will lose ratings. JP/KW made Pacey and Joey happen in Dawson's Creek BECAUSE OF THE FANS.

Except Bonnie hates Damon and in an interview with Ian even he said it's not the type of hate that can turn into love it's the type of hate that STAYS as hate. Besides, Damon is in LOVE WITH Elena and the whole premise of the show would be demolished if Bamon happened. It's about a LOVE TRIANGLE. Not a love triangle with Bamon. The difference between Delena and Bamon is that Delena is DEFINATELY going to happen and it's been confirmed. NONE of the actors/actresses nor the writers have confirmed that Bamon will happen. See the difference? THEREFORE, DELENA have more chance. I'm not saying Bamon won't happen because anything can happen in the show, but I think it's pretty obvious who has the better chance.

That is the case of BAMON, STEFERINE, BASON and other couples that would be interesting and for that reason I support BAMON, they would be an awesome couple, HATE/LOVE that could apply also for BAMON, SOMETHING UNEXPECTED, that is also the reason of tv show, and books and everything; something that take us our breath away when we see that in television, something you never though could happen and suddenly happen...
Delena is obvious, not so sure if they are endgame or not but it will happen, but Stelena is also a sure bet dont forget that and well I dont want 5 season between Delena and Stelena that would be boring and I dont like those "Delena fans" that prefere Damon dead if Delena is not the endgame or prefer Stelena 5 seasons ( with all kisse, sex and everything) and in the last chapter the producer will say Delena is endgame. mmmmm that doesnt make sense to me
I know they would be a real tonnie shippers also bason shippers ( I am one) but they are tons of Delena fans who only want Damon and Bonnie apart and show that "yeah it has to be Delena"

But I agree with your point, the fanbase doesn't neccisarily count since Phoebe&Cole is the/second most loved couple on Charmed but the writers decided to end them. And I think they deserve the title of epic because they went through SO MANY things to be together and in the end their love unfortunetly just wasn't enough, she had to kill him to save her sisters from him.
