Sims 2 Family question

OK so I have one Sims 2 disk (it's the doubled deluxe with nightlife and celebration stuff packages) and I used to play it most on my laptop and had a family in in pleasentview that I had been working on. But a few days il y a I started playing it on a different computer, only to find that this family could not be accessed from this new computer. But now I've made other families on the desktop and I like playing on it better (because on the laptop the game lags, on the desktop it doesn't) So I was wondering is there any way to get the family I had in the game on the laptop to play them on the desktop? ou to plus simplify it is there anyway to déplacer a family from one computer to another? Any help is very much appreciated, thanks in advance HouseJr
