He was lying on the sidewalk while we were all jumping over and running past him. Darry ran over to his side. I went over with the rest of the gang to pound some heads in. After the Socs drove away I ran back over to Ponyboy, trailing behind Soda. His neck was bleeding pretty bad and he looked like a ghost. "Are toi all right Pony? Did they pull a blade on you?" Sodapop was holding a hankerchief against Pony's neck. It was slowly getting red. "Yeah." His voice sounded hoarse and dry. "It's okay Ponyboy, they ain't gonna hurt toi no more." We walked par to the house while Darry was yelling at Ponyboy for walking accueil alone. "You should carried a blade ou a least called one of us. We woulda came." Ponyboy just stood there looking at him blankly. Sodapop turned around and said, " That woulda been a good reason for the Socs to cut his neck even plus there." Sodapop always stood up for us when Darry was yelling at us. "How's the kid doing?" I whirled around to see Dally standing there. "I'm okay. Wadaya doin' out of the glacière Dal'?", Ponyboy replied. We turned our heads over at Darry. "It's not a school night,so,sure." "Okay,meet me at Sutton and Pickett tommorow at 5:00." "Okay.",all three of us replied at once. It was pretty late so everyone went home. Ponyboy and I finished our homework, then we all had dinner. After dîner we all went to sleep, since Sodapop and Darry had to work tommorow.
