Eight-year-old Toya Hill was last seen leaving her home in Baltimore, Maryland on March 24, 1982. She came home from school, had a snack and went outside to play. 

Toya's mom, Annette Stanley left the house at 6:15 that evening. While she was gone, Toya left home to walk to a grocery store (despite not being allowed to do so) to purchase candy. Near the store, she stopped to speak to her mom's ex-boyfriend and one of his male friends.

When Annette came home at 7:30 p.m., Toya was missing and has not been seen since. At the time of her disappearance, she was supposed to be the flower girl at Annette's wedding (which took place three days after her disappearance)

Initially, Annette suspected that her ex-boyfriend abducted Toya in order to convince her to renew their relationship, but he claimed he didn't have her and didn't know what happened to her. Annette went ahead with her wedding on schedule because she thought that it would encourage the ex-boyfriend to give Toya back.

After Annette's marriage ended, she got back together with her ex-boyfriend because she still believed that he knew about Toya's whereabouts. They later broke up and the ex-boyfriend is no longer alive.

As of 2023, Toya remains missing and foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
