Three-year-old Lenoria Jones was last seen on July 20, 1995 in Tacoma, Washington with her great-aunt, Berlean Williams.

Berlean initially told the police that Lenoria disappeared inside of a Target store, but a security videotape showed Berlean entering the store by herself and there was no sign of Lenoria. She reported Lenoria missing to the police at 9:42 a.m., but she called he daughter at 8:47 a.m. and said she didn't know where Lenoria was.

At the time of her disappearance, Berlean had legal custody of Lenoria and was in the process of adopting her. She also ran a day care center. Lenoria's mom gave her to relatives after Lenoria was born and her legal rights to her were terminated by 1995.

Berlean changed her statements to the police various times, claiming that Lenoria wandered away from her, that she was abducted from the Target parking lot, that she was kidnapped by two unidentified African-American men near their home and later said that Lenoria was safe and living in an undisclosed location.

Two days before Lenoria went missing, her mom said that she called Berlean and asked to speak to speak to Lenoria, but she wasn't allowed to talk to her. Berlean was later placed under house arrest for four months and her day care center was shut down by the state; however, she has not been charged in connection with Lenoria's disappearance.

Authorities believe that Lenoria either met with foul play or she died from an accidental overdose of a drug called Norpramin which was she was taking to help treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Her case is classified as an endangered missing person.
