Chapter 14: Rememberance of Wisdom and Revelation
Being allowed par the daiyoukai, the memory flashed through his mind.
They sat in silence on the edge of colline overlooking the meadow below with anticipation of what will come. The darkened sky above them suddenly turned clear with a countenance of peace. It whispered the news to them.
--The ShiKon Jewel has finally been defeated.
"Well, Myoga my friend, That fool Inuyasha and his Miko have finally succeeded in destroying the Shikon Jewel." Tototsai broke the icy mood with his harsh voice, exultingly delivered the news to the flee demon, who already knew it.
"Whooph. I am glad of it too." Myoga a dit as he jumped on Totosai's shoulder to get a better view of the sky above. "I am glad indeed." He reenforced his gladness.
Totosai turned his head back to glance at the forest behind them with slight fear. He sighed with uneasiness, "Hmm, so he has come at last."
"It is Lord Sesshomaru toi are speaking of?" Myoga crouched down, turned his head from one side to another and repeated that motion as if he was looking for a place to hide.
At some point during that maneuver, he decided that Totosai's shoulder was probably the safest place. He stayed put.
"Yes indeed," He reenforced his gladness for the third time, "I am glad the Shikon Jewel is destroyed before Lord Sesshomaru finds out about its secret, ou else we would all be scampering to the core of the earth to find a hiding place."
Sesshomaru strode slowly from the edge of the forest toward the two vassals who have already turned their position to face him with uneasy anticipation. He stopped at a distance, far enough to ease their anxiety, but close enough to exert a cold presence that shivered all of their senses.
"So I see." Sesshomaru looked up at the serene sky as he made the remark.
"Sesshomaru. I take it that toi haven't figured it out, have you?" Totosai a dit with his same harsh voice, a bit louder than before so to make sure it reached Sesshomaru's ears.
"If toi have figured that much, then do entertain me with the rest of your wisdom." He spoke with a deep smooth voice and a slow pace as if he was already bored with what he has not even heard yet. He turned his gaze back toward Totosai and lightly smiled with a condescending curve on his lips.
"Oooh, Totosai, toi must not tell him anything." Myoga jumped up and down with his arms wavering in the air incessantly. He pleaded Totosai with beads of sweat running down on the side of his face, forgetting that Sesshomaru could kill him for that remark.
Sesshomaru didn't kill him. He completely ignored him as a matter of fact.
"Sesshomaru," Totosai, too, completely ignored Myoga and continued to share his wisdom to the young daiyoukai, "In all your years of searching for strength, toi have forgotten the most fundamental truth of power."
"Oh?" Sesshomaru's eyes flickered from a bored visage to a plus interesting brightness.
Myoga decided to give up as Totosai continued to preach his awesome wisdom, "You've heard I a dit that par realizing the Bakusaiga, toi have surpassed your father in power. Yet, when toi hit Naraku with it, his essence still seemed to remain. It was not until Inuyasha struck his Cutting Meido that Naraku was reduced to a mere weak form of a phantom and exposed the Shikon Jewel."
Totosai stopped his sentence. He rechecked his young lord's countenance. Sensing a slight irritation, but no murderous intent, Totosai felt sûr, sans danger to continue. His voice raised again with yet another revelation, to reveal what everybody pretty much already knew.
"You also failed to cut through the Shikon Jewel only to behold how Kagome pierced through it with her arrow. And toi still don't know why." Totosai lowered his voice at this part of his wisdom as if he felt sad ou disappointed about something.
Sesshomaru stood in silence montrer no sign of agreement ou disagreement to what he just heard. Myoga found himself listening attentively because even he didn't hold that strong of an understanding of that sword either.
"You doubt my words, do you? toi are thinking I a dit what I a dit about the Bakusaiga because I wanted toi to detach from the Tessaiga." Totosai paused for a seconde as if trying to find just the right way to put it.
His long pause touched on Sesshomaru's patience lightly in a negative way.
"What Totosai, toi ran out of wisdom?" Sesshomaru decided to spare a few sarcastic words in an amazingly smooth icy tone.
"Hah? Oh yes, well...," Totosai spoke with a few specks of sweat running down on his face, "Well, Sesshomaru, the truth of power is that everything has power. And every source of power has its own specific antidote."
"Interesting concept indeed." Myoga a dit in a thoughtful tone.
"Sesshomaru, your paramount power and the amazing Tessaiga could not even scratch the Shikon Jewel. Yet Kagome is but a weak and fragile human. Though, she possesses a spiritual power of a miko. The Shikon Jewel contained a powerful source of a miko power; therefore, only Kagome alone can destroy it."
"Kagome alone?" Sesshomaru repeated, somewhat doubtfully.
"Yes, that's it. You, Lord Sesshomaru, and Lord Inuyasha cannot destroy it. Only a miko power can contend with the spiritual power of such sort." Myoga scratched his chin as he revealed that truth.
"You got it my friend." Totosai agreed hastily. "Only a specific remedy can cure the disease it was intended for."
"Hmm." The wind picked up lightly as if it was conjured up just to caress the daiyoukai's hair gently. He turned and walked away from the two vassals disappearing slowly into the forest.
And "Your wisdom is incredibly needless" was the only sentence he left behind.

Chapter 15: The Right Weapon.
Inuyasha looked at his older brother so Lost in thought, he shook his head. Seeing arrows flying into Sesshomaru, he jumped in front of his brother and took the arrows head on with his Tessaiga. Kagome turned her murderous gaze on Inuyasha, the battle was on between them.
Kagome, physically fought Inuyasha par the will of the miko spirit, but mentally fought the miko spirit trying to stop herself from killing Inuyasha. Inuyasha tried not to hurt Kagome while trying to defend himself with his extremely powerful Tessaiga. It was a very difficult fete indeed.
He grunted and growled as he darted from one corner to another avoiding the arrows. Occassionally, he had to release a stream of Adamand Barrage here and there to deflect the arrows Kagome shot at him. He didn't like doing that and refrained from using his sword if at all possible. So Inuyasha basically just ran, jumped, ducked, dodged, crouched in every fashion imaginable.
He finally realized it was much easier to die fighting a powerful enemy than to engage in a fight with a... girlfriend.
Kagome was screaming his name, "Inuyasha! Inuyasha! Get away. Get away before I kill you." A scream which only she could hear. She did not fearlessly attacked Inuyasha as she did with Sesshomaru.
Inuyasha can sense that Kagome was not completely taken over, but too weak to compete with the foreign spirit inside her. He knew Kagome was in there fighting for his life.
"Hmm, I guess whoever she is, she doesn't hate me as much as she hates toi hah Sesshomaru. That just proved that I am the cuter dog. " Inuyasha smirked.
Even in the mid of a battle, Inuyasha still enjoyed goading his brother on. This time he was going for a popularity contest.
His enjoyment was short lived. Before he knew it, Kagome has managed to incur several scratches all over him when he Lost his footing and sorta fell into the stream of arrows Kagome produced with the endless source of petals around them. He shot out the Adamand Barrage just in time to deflect most of them and felt the rest chafing against his body leaving a burning sensation wherever they touched.
"Sesshomaru, what the hell are toi doing? If toi are too scared to fight, then get out of the way, will you. So I don't have to keep protecting you." He darted and deflected yet another Arrow flying Sesshomaru's way.
Hearing his little brother calling his name, Sesshomaru pulled himself back to the present. He stood up, sheathed his sword, and looked at Inuysha flying ou imitating flying motions in the air swinging every which way he saw fit.
"Hmm, the right weapon hah?" He looked at Kagome with her ferocious countenance, unyielding to the catastrophic event before her.
He winced his eyes, "So only the spiritual power of a Miko can contend with a Miko, hah Totosai?"
"Hah, what the hell are toi saying Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha spat at him in a form of a question, not really wanted to know the answer.
Inuyasha turned back just in time to let out another full Meido in an attempt to absorb the arrows coming at the brothers.
"Kagomeeee, would toi stop this." He screamed as he did so.
Sesshomaru jumped into the air leaping from behind the Meido. He lashed his green whip down at the coming arrows not yet absorbed. The whip caught one of them. He swifted vers l'avant, vers l’avant in the air. Within an unaccountable quick instance, he was above the standing Kagome. He swung the whip still holding the Arrow and delved into Kagome's body with all his demonic power behind it. A big flash of rose light spurted out from Kagome's body into the air. The arrows shot straight through Kagome's shoulder and came out her back side as a gentle petal falling to the ground. Kagome's body fell down with it, immobile.
Inuyasha' sword fell down to the ground at the same moment making a big thud. His stare spelled horrified. Him, unmoved.
A rose light was pulled in two different directions. Part of it, with a darker hue of pink, was trying to go back into Kagome's lifeless body. The other part was trying to pull away. Sesshomaru can see clearly the subtle division between them.
Sesshomaru swooshed down at Kagome's body, and picked her up par her neck. He held her body before his and flew right at the seam that he saw. The effect severed the seam and the rose light shot away allowing the darker light source to reenter her body. She still seemed lifeless.
He cast Kagome's lifeless body into Inuyasha's arms. Inuyasha, still in a daze, caught her par default. Sesshomaru pursued the other flash of rose light and out of sight.
Miroku and Shippo, stood on the shore, saw the shooting rose light and a rodic sphere** in its pursuit. Both flew right pass them into disappearance. They all looked confused and voiced in one same chorus,
"What was that?"

Chapter 16: Kagome's Unyielding Soul.
Inuyasha, arms holding Kagome's body, stepped into sight. His expression was unreadable. The gang ran up to him.
"What happened Inuyasha?" the gang asked, "What's wrong with Lady Kagome."
Inuyasha did not recount, "Let's go home."
"Alright." Miroku obeyed and commanded for Kirara to take them into the air, across the sea and on back to main land.
They arrived at the village in silence. Each still tried to make out what will be next.
Meanwhile, Sesshomaru chased his prey into some forest. He can sense the slight scent of fleur somewhere, but cannot put it in his sight. He raised his hand planning to swipe out the entire forest. But something in his mind stopped him. He forfeited his intention and left the forest with a slow stride. His hair fluttered in the wind behind him, as graceful as always, unfailing.
Dusk has approached the village, Kagome's body lied before the gang. Rin hovered around Kagome with scared eyes.
"Lady Kagome. Lady Kagome. Wake up. Wake up please." Rin stroke Kagome's cheeks as a streak of tear ran down her own.
Inuyasha sat there staring at something. Miroku, his hand cupping his chin, stared into whatever Inuyasha was staring at.
Shippo ran from Inuyasha to Miroku, then back. At some point, he decided that these two useless dudes were at a loss of what to do. He was thinking,
"I must keep it together. I must keep it together."
par keeping it together, he meant stooping down and staring at whatever everyone was staring at.
All of them silenced.
After some moment of silent staring activities, Inuyasha perked his face up. He looked toward the front door of their abode.
"Sesshomaru!" He a dit as he jumped outside to see his brother standing with the usual expression of....nothing much.
The gang followed Inuyasha.
"Lord Sesshomaru." Miroku called the daiyoukai without expecting a reply. And his insightful expectation was proven to be correct.
Inuyasha wasted no time. He drew his sword and charged at Sesshomaru, blindly as always. He did not intent to kill Sesshomaru, just wanted to exaggerate his anger on the older sibling for harming Kagome earlier.
Sesshomaru just merely dodged his little brother's attack cooly, easily and gracefully as all the times before. He even seemed a bit bored of it. But he did not fight back, not even verbally.
The ridiculous battle raged on for some time until a cute little voice abruptly stopped both of them.
"Inuyasha-sama, Lady Kagome has awaken." Rin screamed into the air and let her voice be heard par anyone who can hear it. And everyone heard it successfully.
"Hah? really." Inuyasha turned around. He wasted no time to go and inspect on the truthfulness of the statement.
The gang followed.
Inside the house, Kagome has sat up. Her eyes brightened with life. Though her face bore an expression of confused terrors. As soon as she saw Inuyasha running up to her, she fell into his arms.
"Inuyasha," She gripped tightly to him and let out a small sob, "She tried to take my soul away. But I won't let her. I didn't want to leave you, Inuyasha."
"Kagome," He scooped her into his arms, "I am glad toi are safe."
The news reached Sango and Kaede who were busy with the gardens. The whole gang breathed a sight of relief.

Chapter 17: Secret of the Moon.
Outside the abode, Rin and Sesshomaru still stood.
"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru." Rin addressed her lord as usual.
For this child, his reply was no different. It was with silence.
"Lord Sesshomaru." Rin persisted.
"What is it, Rin?" Sesshomaru finally decided that maybe he should reply to her.
"Oh, nothing my lord. Rin can smell the scent of fleur on you." She a dit as she giggled childishly.
He gazed at her, with that same proud expression, subtle but definitely existed.
"Indeed." He a dit as he walked away, "Rin."
"Yes, My Lord." Rin happily answered.
"Come with me."
Rin answered happily, not with words, but with her childish giggle and her obedient willingness.
They came onto a hill. He took his position on a boulder and sat down with his legs rested one knee above the other on different levels of rocks under his feet. Rin came to a stand still suivant to him. He looked up at the very thin crescent moon barely visible under the night sky. Rin looked at him and decided to imitate par also looking up at that same celestial object.
"Lord Sesshomaru." Rin, as always, broke the silence first.
"Yes, Rin." Her lord answered gently.
"Why do toi always stare at the moon, My Lord?" Rin voiced, less gently, but much sweeter.
Sesshomaru, face unmoved from the crescent moon, threw a gentle side glance at Rin. He produced no answer.
Once again, after a long silent moment of them staring at the moon, Rin was defeated in yet an another staring contest. She lowered her head and put her hands across her chest.
"Rin l’amour the moon. It is beautiful. It puts Rin at peace." She a dit with a smile, no less cute than ever before.
"How, Rin?" Sesshomaru finally left the sight of the moon. He looked at Rin with a puzzled expression.
"Rin don't know why, My Lord. But the moon always looks gentle, but it always appears with cold stern." She looked at it again and then looked at him, "It reminds Rin of you, My Lord." She made the revelation as if she, herself, was surprised at the sudden realization of it.
Sesshomaru, too, was surprised at the revelation. So he decided to satisfy the child's question,
"It is that same moon, Rin, that refuels my energy and sustains my life."
"Hah?" Rin looked at her lord plus intensely than ever before. She did not understand what he meant. However, she did not investigate further. One question was enough for one visit.
"Rin."
"Yes, My Lord." Pulled from her thought of the moon par her lord's call.
"This is a gift."
Her Lord shook his lengthy sleeve with a gentle motion. A fleur appeared in his hand. A fleur that looked like none Rin has seen before. It is a chrysanthème of the longest elegant petals Rin has beheld yet.
"Ah, My Lord, that is beautiful." Rin took the flower. She cradled it in her hand, delighted par it. "Thank you, My Lord."
"Save it from withering in my care."
Her Lord stood up from where he has sat. He came closer to her and motioned his arm mimicking a chair. Rin sat into his arm holding on to his shoulder with one hand, the other still cradling the flower, and staring at it.
Securely supporting her body, he jumped from the colline and with a nuage under his feet, he descended gradually down to the village. He set her on the ground, and conveyed a silent good bye before slowly disappearing into the depth of the forest.
