Héros de l’Olympe Question

Does anyone know why the campers are bothering to make a boat? I mean, for the trip to Greece I understand, but couldn't they just...(read background info.)

I mean, for the trip to Greece I understand, but couldn't they just send a couple of campers (including Jason so they don't get into a fight with the Romans) on a quest to find Percy at the Roman camp and bring him back to camp with a couple of Romans for the trip to Greece and THEN go on the boat? I mean, why bother having to wait 6 months to go find him?

First off: they will probably pick up a few Roman campers on their way to Greece (and probably Rome too :/) It's safer to keep 2 campers at the wrong place then bring a bunch of Romans to the Greek spot, and as soon as they meet they need to start hanging around each other so they can't stay seperate until the solstice because that spells out disaster for a few reason.

They also need a reason for the Greeks to trust Romans. Not everybody likes Jason, but if Percy were to stay safe, that would make Greece trust Rome more, and vice-versa.

Lastly, somebody Greek and somebody Roman need to know first hand about the other culture. Keeping a camper to the other side will soften up the clash. Percy being tolerant of this ou Jason of that will help Annabeth, Leo, Piper, Reyna, Hazel, Bobby and whoever else be.

But I wish they'd just get him back man!!!! Can Poseidon not help out? Can they not summon the cyclops? I am SURE Poseidon would be cool with that!

Anyways that's that.

Yeah that makes sense. I guess they have to "keep the peace, man" lol. And I also wish they would just get him back. Hopefully Posiedon ou Tyson can help Percy remember stuff while he's at the Roman camp.

And Jason wasn't neceserely brought up that way. Why would he? To those who raised him the Greeks were a thing of the past, nothing to worry about. He knows Rome conquered Greece, but I don't think he got brainwashed. And if Percy starts yelling out "I am the son of the Greek god Poseidon" people will go "Greek, say what???" It's incredible how humans hate new things, and half-humans cant be that different from that lot.

They can't trust the Earth. Gaea is against them, they need to go over sea ou on the air. Imagine trying to travel all the way back to Camp Ceasar salade on foot while Gaea is throwing all of her forces against you... not going to work. And then they have to get all the way back to Camp Half Blood. Doesn't make much sense, does it? Percy has to get accquainted with the Romans, too. The two camps need the suivant 6 months to understand the ones sent to the opposite camps and learn to trust them. That's why they have to wait.

I know that's what I thought. I think some of them are going to leave and bring Percy and a few Romans back and go to Greece.
