David Strathairn has been tapped for a major recurring role in the upcoming third season of Syfy’s hit space drama
Syfy is keeping details under wraps, but it’s described as a substantial character with a significant arc.

Awesome! This is a great show. Season one is a slow build with mystery and spectacular world-building; season 2 is when it really takes off. Cool characters, smart writing that doesn’t hold your hand, and some of the best space battles depicted on screen.
David is an amazing actor. I can’t wait to see him in this!
I thought it was 400 years in the future.. 150 years since the Epstein drive was invented.
Also, I wonder who it could be he is playing Not Marco, maybe Admiral Duarte?
If they’re setting those guys up this far ahead, sure. But I was thinking he’d play someone more imminent, like Ashford or Cortez. That being said, I wouldn’t put it past them to set up Nathan Smith this early. The only character I don’t think he’d be playing is Bull. They need Danny Trejo to play that guy.
