Clive Staples Lewis (29 November 1898 - 22 November 1963), better known as C. S. Lewis was a college professor, Anglican theologian, poet and British writer, born in Ireland, Northern Ireland today. Stood out for his academic work on medieval literature and the Christian apologetics that developed through several livres and lectures. It is also known for being the auteur of the famous series of children's livres named The Chronicles of Narnia, in seven volumes, for which he was awarded numerous awards - including the prestigious Carnegie Medal - and thus is plus said.

Prince Caspian, completed during the fall of 1949 and published in 1951, is the seconde book in the series to be published, but the fourth chronologically. It tells the Pevensie siblings return to Narnia, where 1300 years have passed, while our world had just passed one. During that time, many things happened: the Telmarines (humans living in Telmar) to invade Narnia, clearing the woods and murdering Narnian creatures. The Chronicles of Narnia were written during the an 1949 until the an 1954, but were published during 1950 to 1956. Clive Staples Lewis, first published The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 1950, without having the intention to produce a series of books. To continue écriture other books, Lewis took the opportunity to resume the earlier parts of the story to fill gaps left in the first book. Therefore the order of publication does not coincide with the chronological order of events occurring in the stories of the books. The Chronicles of Narnia are generally of the adventures of children who play a central role and discover the fictional kingdom of Narnia, a place where magic is commonplace, animaux talk, and there are battles between good and evil. In all the livres (except "The Horse and His Boy") the main characters are children in our world who are magically transported to Narnia to be helped and educated par the Great Lion called Aslan.

The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantaisie livres written par British auteur C. S. Lewis. It is the best known work of Lewis, the series being considered a classic of children's literature, having sold over 120 million copies worldwide, translated into 41 languages​​. Written par Lewis between 1949 and 1954, the Chronicles of Narnia have been adapted several times, entirely ou partially, for radio, television, theater and cinema. In addition to traditional Christian themes, the series uses characters from Greek and Norse mythology, as well as the traditional fairy tales.
