télévision Do certain fans turn toi off shows/characters/couples,etc? (Stuff toi wouldn't normally dislike, ou stuff toi liked but because of them toi can't stand it)
Blair Waldorf/Leighton Meester. It's not that I can't stand her, I like her but I refuse to give her any praise because I don't want to be lumped in with her crazy fanbase. I honestly think some worship at her alter every night before bed. That is 95% of the reason I always have a Blake/Serena icon. No joke.
Oh and BTW, you know how some Chuck/Blair fans can be a little out there?...Lets just say it's most likely the Blair portion. But let me be clear, I in no way feel like all of them are that way, just the loud minority.
Haha livelydebate. Same.
For me, Dan and Blair. I don't like the idea of them, and that's not because of fans. But I think what really makes me despise them is their fans. They (not all, but some. Not the ones on this site, but on another site) are so self-righteous and annoying. They think that their opinion is worth more than any other person's, and they are the best and smartest. They call their couple epic and amazing, yet they haven't even happened yet.
It annoys me.
For me I'd have to say it's Lois/Clois. It's not that I hate her/them, it's mostly just what the fans say. Like you guys said, not all the fans, but a good majority of them really turn me off them.
Sometimes....kinda. When fans overrate a character or couple, I could end up dis-liking them because of it. Same goes for underrating, I could end up, loving them.
There is one ship I used to like, that I now like again, but for the longest time I didn't want to happen because of some (not all) of the fans. Booth and Brennan from Bones. The fans weren't rude, but some got so obsessed with the ship that the show itself didn't seem to matter anymore. People were fans of the ship not the individual characters involved. I felt like people were completely overlooking the show and characters in favour of the ship. So many people didn't care at all about the character's development outside of the relationship, they wanted every piece of development the characters had to be about their relationship, and you just cannot have 3 dimensional characters that way. What made it worse is that the show's writers seemed to take notice. They let other areas of the show slide to make it more about developing the romance than it should have been. It got to a point where I was like "God, just end them forever so the show and characters can have depth again" even though at the start I loved them. A show (especially a freakin' crime show) should never make one ship such a main focus. I like them again now, and it feels like the show is regaining it's balance, but even though I like B&B again now, that type of B&B fan put me off for a long time.
I never started love something beacuse of fans.. but it happens a lot that I like\don't care about something and then some stupid obssesed fans make me I start to hate it ...;/
Absoloutely I could probably just about dislike Leyton if their fans weren't so rude about Brucas (btw i am not saying all Leyton fans are constantly rude about Brucas but their are definitely some that are out their) but seriously some of them have to turn every pick into a BL vs LP argument and the way they talk about BL bashing them so bad and they wonder why us BL fans argue our points back to them. I'm sorry but SOME of the LP fans make me hate Leyton more than I already did :/
