What are the details of the resolution of the WGA strike during the 2007-2008 TV season?

It recently occurred to me that I don't actually know what kind of remuneration the writers get each time we watch a video of a TV ou film here on fanpop (or elsewhere online), which was the whole point of the strike. I know, I know: the payments would only be from legitimate, official sites rather than from every site, but I still would be interested in the details.
