To me Jensen does a whole lot better than Jared when it comes to the emotional scenes. Jared is not a bad actor but whenever he is crying I think he looks like a blubbering idiot. Sorry to all the Sammy fans but seriously. Every time I have watched Dean break down and cry I start to cry, Sammy makes me laugh.

Jensen is amazing at emotional scenes, he makes your heart break for him...

For sure - 100% - there is absolutely NO doubt/comparsion.

Jensen is definitely the better actor - especially when it comes to emotional scenes.

and before I get yelled - i'm NOT saying that Jared can't act, what i'm saying is that Jensen is in a whole different class of acting talent. But i'll give the boy some credit - Jared has improved a LOT since S1 and he rocked playing Lucifer in S5. (:

Jared is good too but I just don't get the shame chills like the ones from Jensen's acting!

I totally agree with Dean-girlx, and she's right Jared has gotten better. And I loved how much better he got at being Lucifer. The first time we saw that I actually was laughing, he wasn't terrifying or creepy or anything. He made me laugh. But the season finale was awesome and he did an amazing job so "Go Jared". But other than that stay away from emotional scenes cause it just doesn't make me wanna cry like with Jensen.

I think they're both amazing at them, I don't know why some people don't like Jared (and no, that is not just me being a Sam girl talking). In response to Zara_Snape's comment, I think his first time as Lu (In the End) was creepy BECAUSE it was so NOT creepy or terrifying, if that makes sense, but more understated. It was so arrogant, conceited, self-loving, petulant, foppish, and somewhat effeminate (wow that's a lot of adjectives! XD) and that's what made it so creepy and good. Just the infuriating smirk he gives Dean- oh he made me so mad! XD Just my opinion. :-)

Although Jared has improved alot since Season 1, I still think Jensen is the better actor. When he's upset, you don't just see tears...you see all the emotions that cause those tears. Fear, anger, love, regret, guilt, desperation. Everything he does is so layered. With Jared, I just don't get as much from him.
Although I have to say I totally agree with Puppyslove that the first time Jared was Lucifer, he was totally awesome. Jared does 'evil' incredibly well. I think he's really in his element then. When he's being dark, arrogant, angry or evil is when he really shines. When he's doing sad and earnest I just don't buy it as much.

I was going to not choose, but I can't not choose Jared. Not just because I'm a Jared girl, but I feel alot more emotions when he has emotional scenes, especially 2x17 and 3x16, though both really. Jensen is also fantastic obviously. :)

Well they’re both amazing,Jared is S4 and S5 has really improved and totally rocked,look at “When the Levee Breaks” and “Swan Song”,the all Lucifer/Sam in front of the mirror is amazing,Jared was amazing!! And I agree with Puppyslove and fanfly,Jared + evil= amazing…
But Jensen in emotional scenes is a win,he’s able with just one look,a single movement of a single muscle to express soo much,and he always makes you feel everything Dean is feeling!

Sam in Heart was the first time I cried watching supernatural.

Both are amazing.

I like Jensen more in funny than sad episodes. So I think Jared plays better in tragical moments. I agree with NateHeartSerena, he was the best in "Heart", in the most heartbreaking episode.

JENSEN!! he does so good when he crys it makes me cry! when sam crys you kinda want to shake him and say calm down!

i can't possibly pick, both are AMAZING! im a sam girl, so i was gonna pick him, but after seeing dean in 4x10 and stuff i just cannot pick at all :S love them both, both make me cry and both really hit home with me when theyre acting like that :'(

I went with Dean because he had more emotional scene's becasue of Sam but I think they both do an excellent job.

I love how people say their not picking things because they love that character/actor more.

Anyways, I love both these guys, but of the two, Jensen makes me feel for him, and makes me want to go and hug my own sister. Whereas Jared is a fine actor himself, its just he's better at being the sweet guy, not the one who struggles with his emotions but is quite in touch with them like Jensen plays Dean.

They're both really fantastic. I just think every time I see Jensen get emotional, it feels like his character and not an actor. And I feel like he's truly opening up his heart. It just shows depth of character and the soul of his character without saying very much. Never fails to get me.

Both of these guys are tremendous actors and do fabulously at emotional scenes, but I have to go with Jensen.
When Jared does them, it is just so sad cos you see him crying and he looks so helpless and you just want to cuddle him.
However, when Jensen acts them out, you can see him fighting those emotions and trying so hard not to cry. It's heartbreaking stuff.
But like I said, they're both amazing.

Can't choose. Went with my knee-jerk reaction. I mean, Jared cries so good, but Jensen is so good at being broken- I cry with both of them, so much of the time, especially in S5.

Sam can pull off crying and deep emotional scenes better, just because his tears look real and not fake or forced like Deans does most of the time in those scenes. But otherwise in other emotions they are pretty equal

definitely Jensen he is just an amazing actor not only in the emotional scene everything he does is amazing i loved the scene where sam had to kill madison and sam was bawling his eyes out and you see Jensen/Dean looking so upset and one tear comes rolling down his face my heart broke just at that moment obviously i was sooooooooooo upset for sam and i think that was jared's best emotional moment but nothing can beat Jensen's one tear it was incredible loved it
