Heather was pacing up and down the kitchen, nervously waiting for Isabel to call her back. She couldn’t imagine what kept her so long. She didn’t have a job, she didn’t have a boyfriend anymore. She was probably wallowing in self-pity, while Heather was about to be ripped to pieces, according to the newspaper.
She dialed Isabel’s phone again and growled when it was her voicemail again. “Seriously? Where the hell are you? Cas is here. What part of get here ASAP did toi not get? Don’t toi read the newspaper? He’s a lunatic. He’s killed four people already in less than 48 hours and if toi don’t hurry up I’m going to be next”

“What? No, no, eh, I’m just trying to reach a friend” Heather explained truthfully.
“A friend? Inspector Roberts, perhaps?” Cas took a wild guess and Heather stiffened.
“Former inspector” Heather corrected him weakly and could slap herself for revealing such information.
Cas smiled. “I couldn’t help but overhearing part of your conversation” he a dit apologizing. “What was that about me killing four people in less than 48 hours? How do toi know that?”
He’s not even denying it, Heather realized downright scared to death. Cas looked over her shoulder and noticed the newspaper. His profil was on the front page.
“Well, that explains it” he a dit rather cheerful and he looked up. He knew the anges were behind this.
“What are toi doing with that?” Heather asked, trying to pull herself together. “You can have it. It’s yours, but then please get out”
“Yeah, I don’t think so” Cas replied. “Why leave now? The fun’s just getting started”
“What?” Heather a dit confused, having no chance to add anything else, since Meg pierced a syringe in her neck. She Lost balance and Meg caught her.
The demon jumped up and floated in front of Meg.
“Missed me, pumpkin?” he smirked. He noticed Meg’s clothes were restored and her cuts where healed. “We should do something about that”
He ripped her chemise open and Cas looked aside, something that didn’t go unnoticed. “I think you’ve got yourself a spy, Meg”
“Leave her alone” Cas a dit sharp.
“Okay, because toi ask so nicely” the demon a dit sarcastic.
“She’s suffered enough. Take me now” Cas insisted.

Five minutes later he came back into the sitting room and he was very pleased to see Daphne’s upset face. He walked to the siège and took of the towel.

He walked through the house until he found the kitchen. He opened all drawers and found the towels. He picked out a dark blue one and walked back to the sitting room. He walked behind Daphne and tied the towel around her cheeks.
“Hey, I saw toi made breakfast. toi wouldn’t mind,...

Daphne was sitting on her bed, staring at the front page of the newspaper. She had wanted to give Meg the benefit of the doubt, since she knew Cas had a thing for her. But if she was a murderer Daphne had to keep her away from him. And in order to do that…
But how was she going to accomplish that? The security system was very…secure. She looked down. Maybe her bandage could be of use. No, that would be crazy. Although.
She took of her hospital chemise and pinched her fingers underneath the bandage. Then she unrolled the bandage and cringed when she pulled off the last bit.
She heard a weird...

“Hey, Andy”
Andy looked up and saw the assistant of the manager standing in the doorway.
“What’s up? Big man needs a one on one with me?” Andy asked.
“The cops are here”...

Meg stood behind a wall, lurking at Cas and Alexia through her field-glass. They were sitting on a terrace eating gaufres and drinking milk-shake. Cas looked as if he was drinking heaven itself.
Meg wanted to go to him and explain why she had to run, but she couldn’t without telling him who he was. And she knew she was being watched. She had escaped Crowley’s demons, but it would only be a matter of time before they caught up with her. And if they did she had no chance of defending herself. She had been so stupid to leave the Angel couteau at home.
As she was staring through the field-glass...

Zoey, however, did see her coming. She sat up. “One furious sister/wife coming our way”
Cas lifted his head and covered his eyes. “I’m not sure what you’re talking about”
“Oh, you’ll find out in one…two..three” Zoey counted as Daphne reached them.

Daphne had left again. Whither she hadn’t told.
He had tried to fix the tables in which he’d somewhat succeeded. He didn’t understand why Daphne didn’t just buy new furniture. But maybe she thought he needed to be taught a lesson.
A truck stopped in front of the house and the driver walked to the front door. Cas opened before the man had the chance to ring.
