Original Incidents:
Several people go missing in 1936. In 1982 eight people vanish and the authorities blame it on ours attacks. Most recently two hikers went missing this past April and were never seen again. There is only one known survivor of these attacks, Mr. Shaw.

In 1959, a local boy survives a suspected grizzly attack in the Blackwater Ridge woods, in the Lost Creek area. The attack claimed the lives of both of his parents. The Shaw family had been camping in a cabine in the Blackwater Ridge area when the strange attack occurred. The small boy had been sleeping par the feu place when the creature, supposed bear, unlocked the door and drug the boys parents into the woods. The during the attack the boy was spared, but he was left with four deep claw marks on his left shoulder. When asked about the event later Mr. Shaw replied,” There is something evil in those woods, some kind of demon.”

Latest Incidents:
A local girl, Haley Collins, reported to Ranger Wilkinson that her brother and his Friends had gone missing while camping in the Blackwater Ridge area. She made the rapporter after her brother had failed to contact her in three days. The Ranger assured her that her brother was not missing, and that he was not scheduled to return until the 24th. Tommy, Haley’s brother, had filed for a backcountry permit and the return rendez-vous amoureux, date indicated this. Tommy was camping with his Friends Brad and Gary. None of the boys have contacted anyone since the sixth jour of their trip. Haley insists that her brother would not stay out of contact for this long. In the last video message that she received Tommy had a dit that he would contact her the suivant day. Tommy had a cell phone and satellite phone with him so there should be no signal issues. The Collins family have been very close since the death of their parents. The three children, Tommy, Haley, and Ben, are very close and keep a close eye on each other. In different cultures all over the world people believe that the consumption of human flesh gives the consumer certain abilities: like speed, strength, and immortality. However; if toi eat enough of it over a long period of time toi become this less-than-human thing. Once the change has occurred the creature will become a perfect hunter. The Wendigo is capable of seeing in the dark, camouflaging itself, and mimicking a human voice. The Wendigo will hibernate for many years, in this instance 23 years, and feed while it is awake. This is due to its knowledge on how to survive long harsh winters without eating. They are always hungry so they tend to feed a lot when they are awake. While they are awake they keep their victims alive so they can feed whenever they like. The creature tends to prefer dark hidden sûr, sans danger places to hibernate and store its food. They seem to like places underground, like caves and mines. If toi are faced with a Wendigo toi must know that they are impervious to all normal weapons, pistolets and knives. The best protection is to surround yourself with Anasazi symbols, because the creature can not traverser, croix over them.

Ways to kill it:
The only thing that will kill a Wendigo is to burn it. Handy weapons for this job are Molotov cocktails and flare guns.

Many Wendigo murder trials took place in Canada at the beginning of the 20 th century. Probably one of the most famous murder trials was that of Jack Fiddler. Fiddler was a Cree Indian who claimed that he killed 14 wendigos during his lifetime. In October 1907, both Fiddler and his son Joseph were tried for murdering a Cree Woman, whom they claimed was possessed par the spirit and was on the verge of transforming into a wendigos . Both men were found guilty and were imprisoned. Fiddler died at the age of 87.

This is a term used par psychologists to describe people who montrer signs of becoming a wendigo . These people are very violent and are easily angered. These people will usually have several nightmares and have severe pains in their legs. Then they will often strip themselves naked and run into the forest screaming.

It is a dit that a wendigo’s body is made entirely of ice. The only way to kill these creatures is to melt their cœur, coeur of ice.
