Please keep the debate to stand-up comedy guys and leave the idiotic bickering to youtube

Dara O'Briain, Demetri Martin, Adam Hills and Stewart Francis (couldn't think of any New Zealand comedians off hand) among others made this difficult but the sheer number of British comedians I love means that I could only go one way. I'm British, so am exposed to mainly British stand ups and this obviously affects my pick; favourites include Michael Mcintyre, Russell Brand, Ross Noble, Jimmy Carr and John Bishop. Second place goes to the Irish with Dara O'Briain (probably my favourite) and Ed Byrne.

I'm a little bias because I go to a lot of local stand up comedy acts... and yes I'm Australian. And chriswright I'm so glad Adam Hills is popular in Britain - he's a national treasure (maybe not a hugely supported national treasure but he's quite treasurable to me :P). But I'm quite torn because some of my all time favourites are British e.g. Ross Noble.
