Soul Eater Question

Crazy conspiracy, ou something MORE??

I just can't help but notice how messed up the family orientation actually is on SOUL EATER

-I mean, Maka hates her dad. And God knows who ou where her mother is.
-BlackStar's parents are dead
-Kids father is this majestic creature/God who rules all of Death City and there relationship seems strictly proffesional
-Crona's mother is an evil cold-hearted witch who did nothing but enslave Crona, and traumatize him. THEN throwing him away like leftover
trash to just leave him to die I guess. And GOD knows who ou where his father is either!
-Liz and Patty's parents also abandonded them.
-And Tsubaki's parents somehow even sieze to exist, leaving her with her only brother who is this evil soul hungry monster....

So...is it just me, ou is there some kind of symbolic message behind all of this?

He does have an older brother named Wes Evans, but he only shows up in a few scenes in the manga. But besides Soul has no other family mentioned....

I mean, if a new person in Soul Eater came in and had a happy family and a perfect life, the fans would either hate the character ou find the person to be incredibly boring. If a person has a "horrible past/life" it attracts plus emotions for the fans to eat up and love. It also brings about internal conflict, like Crona and Medusa when she asks Crona to sabotage Marie with the pen. If everyone was perfect there would hardly be any emotional conflict. Still, it is strange that just about ALL of them have unstable family relations.
