Allison Mack cult alligations: Smallville étoile, star 'involved in NXIVM'

An actress from the hit series Smallville has been accused of being second in command of a ‘sex cult’ which forces women to go starvation diets.

Allison Mack, most famous for playing Chloe Sullivan on Smallville from 2001 until 2011, has been named by the Daily Mail as the head of an alleged secret sorority within the notorious ‘self-help’ organisation NXIVM.

An item on the website Blind Gossip alleged back in June that an actress recruits new members in an organisation that holds self-improvement workshops, with the members reportedly being inducted into ‘sex slavery pyramid schemes’ and being branded.

The New York Times published a piece last week on the organisation NXIVM, with former members alleging that they were branded with the intials of ‘Vanguard’ Keith Raniere.

NXIBM, which promotes courses that claim to promote ‘self-fulfilment by eliminating psychological and emotional barriers’, allegedly contains a secret sorority called DOS, a society for the highest ranking female members of the self-help group.

And Miss Mack, 35, is allegedly in charge of recruiting female members for the ‘sorority’.

Former spokesperson of NXIVM, Frank Parlato, has spoken out on the organisation, and his blog The Frank Report alleges that ‘Miss Mack has proven capable in the recruitment department replacing many aging harem members with younger, more nubile women’.

He claims that DOS stands for ‘dominus obsequious sororium’ – Latin for ‘master over the slave women’.

The female members of DOS and NXIVM are allegedly branded to show support for Raniere, are encouraged to have sex with him, and are beaten with paddles if they do not recruit more ‘slaves’.

It has been reported that women are forced to live on diets of 500-800 calories a day as Raniere prefers his women to be thin.

Mack has not been secretive about her work with Raniere, with an ode to the self-help guru in her bio on her official website.

It reads: ‘The more “unconventional” approach came when Allison came across the work of Keith Raniere. Over the course of several years, Mr. Raniere mentored Allison in her study of acting and music. As such, she has developed a deep connection to the nature of humanity as it relates to acting as an art form, and a tool for personal evolution.

‘In 2013, Mr. Raniere worked with Allison and a small group of equally skilled and dedicated professionals to develop a curriculum that is currently taught through a private arts academy, The Source. There Allison serves as president and is one of its top trainers. The Source provides a unique toolset and innovative exercises to increase one’s mastery of the art of compassion, utilizing the disciplines of acting and expression.’

Ms Mack has not yet commented on the allegations made by Parlato and the Daily Mail. Metro.co.uk has contacted her rep for comment.

NXIVM hit headlines earlier this year after former Dynasty Catherine Oxenberg claimed that her daughter India had been indoctrinated into the ‘cult’.

Catherine claimed he daughgter was brainwashed and looked emaciated after joining the organisation, with India claiming in a Facebook post that she was ‘fine’.

In a prior statement regarding Oxenberg’s claims, NXIVM said: ‘The allegations relayed in the story are built upon sources, some of which are under criminal investigation or already indicted, who act as a coordinated group.

‘We will explore any and all legal remedies to correct these lies.’
