'Gregson!.' He came back in. 'You have to get back there somethings just happened to him.'
'What happened?.'
'I don't know, we're talking and all I heard was a gunshot.' She looked at Gregson who was looking at the floor like he was ashamed. 'You knew?.' He a dit nothing. 'You knew.'
'I'm...'
'Don't. Don't even say your sorry, toi hypothetically pulled the trigger.'
'How is this my fault?.'
'You could have phoned your men from the hospital phone and told them to go in there.'
'There wouldn't have been a different outcome,By the time they got in there he would have pulled the trigger anyway.' Joan shook her head.
'Just go.' She handed him back his phone and left without a word.
Sherlock opened his eyes and looked at his stomach, it was covered in blood. He looked round for Moriarty but he was gone. He placed his hand over the wound and tried to apply some pressure. He looked at the ring on his finger and smiled. He was so glad his father picked her. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed Gregson's number.
'Holmes?.'
'Captain.'
'What happened?.'
'He's gone. Moriarty's gone.' He heard Sherlock groan. He looked back down at his wound, plus blood was appearing. 'All your men are off chasing him.'
'Holmes, toi Ok?.'
'I need an ambulance. I've been shot.'
'How much blood have toi lost?.'
'Not a lot but not a little.'
'That helps(!).' Gregson got into his car. 'I'll be there soon. think toi can hold on?.'
'I think so.'
'I'll call an ambulance.' He hung up. Sherlock looked out the window at what could be is last change to see sunlight. He never realized how beautiful it was. After a few minuets, He heard the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs. 'Gregson?.'
'Nope.' He tilted his head back and saw Joan standing in the doorway.
'Watson?.' She knelt down par his side. 'Your suppose to be in hospital.'
'Hospitals are overrated.' She took off her scarf and placed on his wound, applying as much pressure as she could. 'Do toi know if toi walk out of their wearing a white coat, they don't question toi about it?.' He chuckled. 'Has anyone phoned an ambulance?.'
'Gregson, he's on his way here.'
'Why did toi tell him what was about to happen and not me?.'
'I didn't, he guessed it.' He moaned in pain. 'And i did tell toi but in a different way.'
'I really thought i Lost you.'
'Never.' He jerked.
'You ok?.'
'Just a bit of sharp pain. I'll be fine.' He looked at her. 'No need to worry, I'll be fine. The ambulance is on it's way.'
'I know but...'
'Your thinking they won't get here in time because...' He looked down at his stomach. '...You can't stop the bleeding.'
'There just too much.' She started to cry. 'I can't...' He placed his hand on the back of her neck.
'Hey. It's alright.'
'How are toi so calm about this?.'
'Because.. Being scared isn't the last feeling i want to experience.' He gave her a weak smile. 'If i do die here, i'm just so happy i got to see you.' Joan shook her head.
'Your not going to die.' She got up and went into the cupboard. 'When i was here i noticed they had syringes for their drugs and spare needles so they didn't have to share. They also have... morphine.' She knelt back down suivant to him. 'I'm going to fix toi up. Right here, Right now.'
'What happened?.'
