LadyNottingham So true... that's why I can't kill him in my fanfics. Once had been enough. I'd rather kill my own Original Character in the story than him. Besides, I'm sure they have filmed his being attacked by Nagini from inside the boathouse - while we only had a view from the outside, with Harry, which was sufficient to show us how brutal the attack was.

ComoLoca So tragic :'( @ jester: I know what you mean, I watched the movie at the cinemas 3 times but for some reason watching the DVD at home by myself just seems so much harder @ LadyNottingham: I'm so glad there are people like you writing Snape fanfics. That's what a did for a few days, after watching the last movie: read as many stories where Snape survived as I could get my hands on

karenmiller1972 We are all so glad that fanfiction is here. I sat in my home and silently cried the first time I watched DH2 at my house. Made sure everyone was gone from the home so I would have privacy, curled up with a pillow and just absorbed myself with it. And, where, while I was in the theater I was enthralled with the finale. At home, I was enraged that they tossed aside the 2 sentences that would have vindicated Severus Snape before everyone. Yes, I appreciated that they showed more of Severus in the pensieve memories and that overwhelming emotion when Lily died. But, I wanted, in my own way, for my hero to vindicated in his own world before his contemporaries that doubted him. How hard would it have been to include, "Snape was Dumbledores, Dumbledores from the moment you started hunting down my mother..." I wanted it shouted before everyone during that final battle.

BlackHound Yeah, I agree. I would much rather have seen Harry and Voldemort circling each other, with Harry taunting SnakeFaceBastard, vindicating Severus, like he did in the book. I thought the whole "pursuit through the Castle" thing was asinine. I [i]did[/i] like that the fact that Harry [i]finally[/i] calls Severus [i]Professor[/i] Snape...but really, I think it should have been done better.
