LadyNottingham Oh thanks for posting this jewel. I love the pic when he confronts Draco, in the movie this is seen from a distance. I like the way Alan influenced the set decorator because he had received a clear insight on Severus' character from JKR + his own perception and play of the character. He's really wonderful an actor. If one day they make another movie or series out of HP, I think he'll be the most difficult actor to replace. He left a definitive mark on the character of Severus Snape.

SnapesRose Humm... in a sense this is simple yet tricky.. I've known Severus before I've heard of Alan Rickman. Alan added that certain something when he played Severus. Is Alan Severus? No, neither is Snape Alan. Can I imagine another actor playing Snape... nope! But when I see Severus, I don't see Alan, I see Severus!! I am not in love or obsessed with Alan, BUT with Severus Snape, even before I knew of Alan. Hope that makes some sense.

top51 Yes I'm in getting it as well. I know what you mean Severus is Severus. Alan is his own person but added a certain something alright. I really like Alan for Alan and Severus for Severus.
